This is a reference mat for Thunderstone and all its expansions, to include Thunderstone Advance. I created this visual aid to be an easy reference for teaching new players. Plus it keeps players from having to dig through several rulebooks in order to find a quick answer for common questions and rule verifications. It's designed on A4-sized paper and when cut to the edges it measures 7.5" x 10.875" (19.5cm x 28.1cm), which fits into any Thunderstone game box, including the smaller expansion boxes. Document Version 1.1 I added a note in the New Actions section to specifically note that both Tom Vasel and I use Richard Launius's Discard Top Offer (Village Action), and that I also use Tom Vasel's Market Variety (Village Action).

This is a PDF with the popular Epic Thunderstone rules by Richard Launius. The original variant is listed side by side with Tom Vasel's version, and my own. There are also a few of my other favorite variants included at the end of the document (credit given where due). I have permission from both Richard and Tom to share this document.

This file contains rules and card labels for playing Thunderstone using a drafting mechanic to enable players to select which cards form the village stacks, as well as to create private stacks that can only be purchased by them (as in AEG's Nightfall). There are also optional rules to enable players to draft monster types and a few other things. The card labels are designed to be glued or stickered onto the existing Randomizer cards to enable them to be drafted easily. Currently there are labels for the Thunderstone base game, Thornwood Siege and Wrath of the Elements. This project was done for two reasons: 1) I've found there are limitations to the randomized nature of Thunderstone which inhibit gameplay. In particular there are mechanics and combos that sometimes are impossible to use given the random set (such as the Nightblade's bonus to light weapons if there are no light weapons available). I also was dissatisfied with the tendency for randomized cards to often lead to players playing very similar decks due to obviously stronger cards. Drafting creates much more variety and enables many more unusual combos to be used. 2) I really like drafting mechanics in general, and in AEG's Nightfall in particular so it seemed a pretty logical extension to bring it to Thunderstone as well!

Thunderstone Quick Reference for Base Game plus WrathElements, DoomgateLegion, Dragonspire & Thornwood Seige expansions. v1.23 Updated. This is a Rules Reference for Thunderstone plus the Wrath of the Elements, Doomgate Legion, Dragonspire & Thornwood Seige expansions. (doc version 1.23) My goal was to pull together the various rules for the game & expansions in one organized and easy-to-use listing: -The first two pages form a basic reference for setup & gameplay, including a layout illustration and card reference diagrams. -Pages 3 - 5 include a simplified glossary and summarize rules for Solo, Co-Op and Campaign games. -Finally I rounded out the balance of the space on page 5 with a listing of some Preset Theme Dungeons. I print these using Adobe Reader v9.1 on letter-size 110lb cardstock. The layout has reserved top & bottom margins to permit them to be trimmed down to fit within the WotE & DL expansion boxes if desired. Let me know if I missed anything or have any errors in the content. v1.23 changes: This update corrects a typo pointed out by Bansco, that crept into the Guardian glossary entry between v14 & v15: "A Guardian does _not_ move to the bottom of the Dungeon Deck if you attack and fail to defeat it."

v1.22 changes: I updated the removable cards list from the Solo Play section to reflect the latest expansion cards, and cleaned up a few typos. v1.21 changes: I added the changes within the Thornwood Siege expansion. Principally, the Raid and Stalk keyword rules. I cleaned up some typos, and again tightened up the layout a bit to make the new material fit.

Randomstone v1.0 Generates completely random setups for the base set of Thunderstone using the Pocket PC (or any version of WinCE). The cardset is user-definable, allowing users to add promos and remove OP cards. (Useful for people who haven't upgraded to an iPhone/android/etc. like myself.) See install.txt for instructions.

A 3-game campaign for Thunderstone, requiring all releases up to Dragonspire. Also includes dungeon deck set up, party deck set-up and other slight variations designed to overcome frequent objections to the game from people i've played with: - can take too long to 'get going' - having the hardest monsters show up early on isn't fun - lack of story / meaningful campaign - randomly-generated dungeons & villages that could be more interesting if planned to be balanced if you are not one who enjoys playing with slightly different rules, you may find the dungeon & village setups interesting at least :)

Due to the fact the dungeon turn tends to be a tad confusing to new people (and those who don't play it regularly) I threw together a flowchart tonight and would like to have feedback if I've missed any key info/points of confusion. Please note, I am aware that in the rules the light penalty is to be subtracted from the Total Attack but I find it conceptually simpler to add it to the Monsters strength/health.
