Historical Scenario: Western Germany - September 1796 version 1.3 At the height of the French Revolutionary Wars the French simultaneously invaded Italy and Germany. Napoleon undertook the campaign against Piedmont and Austria in Italy. Meanwhile in Germany, Archduke Charles positioned his Austrian army for the decisive battle against Jourdan's Army of the Sambre and Meuse at Wurzburg. Historical Scenario: Saxony - October 1813. version 1.2 As the French and Allied armies gather around Leipzig Napoleon orders Murat to fight a delaying action to buy more time. Rather than a defensive action, Murat contemplates an aggressive response to the allies advance. version 01c Historical Scenario: Poland 1806 While the French troops prepared to celebrate Christmas, the Russians are in retreat across Poland. As General Benningen gathers his troops around the river crossing at Pultusk, Gallitzin and Doctorov march their divisions to cover the northern flank of Benningsen?s army. To their dismay they find themselves assaulted by the main French army. Believing this to be the entire Russian army Napoleon orders an immediate attack with all available troops. As the corps of Murat, Davout and Augereau bear down upon Gallitzen's two meagre division the sound of artillery can be heard from Pultusk, 13 miles to the South. The Russians have no alternative but to attempt to hold off the French long enough for night to fall and cover their retreat. (uploaded by scenario designer)
