Folding box template with changeable dimensions
|
Folding Box.ps 4 KB
This is a folding box template in postscript that can be used to make, well, folding boxes.
The postscript file can be edited with any text editor and the different dimensions set at the header of the file.
After you made the template you can import it into many vector editing software (Illustrator) and decorate it.
You can also send it directly to any Postscript printer.

This file is a template that I use to format and print the components for origami dice using the method detailed [thread=618710]here[/thread].
NOTE: I created this file in GIMP and have no experience with photoshop. I do not know first hand if it will work the same way in photoshop as I use it in GIMP. I saved it as a psd file so that it could be more generally useful.

Digit Dice
|
DigitDice.zip 664 KB
These dice aren?t specific to one game. You may find different ways to use them. More than likely, you?ll use the same set and not create a set for each game. Just make a set as needed for the maximum count of players typical for your gaming night. There are seven sets of graphics to choose from. Print them on sticker stock (or plain paper and use a glue stick), then trim by the crop marks and apply them to any pair of [cheap] 5/8? dice.
Dice A has 0 through 5 on it, while Dice B has 7, 8, 9 and 1, 2, 3 again.
Q: What about a 6? That isn?t on dice A or B.
A: True, because it isn?t needed. The font chosen for these dice has a 6 and a 9 that are structurally identical. When you need a 6, use the 9 and turn it 180 degrees upside-down. This way, an extra 3 was added to Dice B.
Digit Dice create one and two-digit numbers by arranging the appropriate faces upward. They do so more conveniently than alternative shaped/sided dice that don't line up well. They are also larger in text than most alternative dice and easier for all to see across a table.
Between Dice A and B, you can create any number from 0 or 1 to 39. That?s sufficient for high count token resources in most games. If you need an even higher max. count, then make a second Dice A. With a Dice A1, A2, and B, you can count all the way to 59, but that?s probably overkill.
Digit Dice are not intended to replace all tokens in a game. That would surround you with a forest of dice no better than a multitude of token piles. But if you have one or two high count token types that change often (by your own measure), then maybe these will cut some fuss and time lost to upkeep. Gold (in many games) or high count Lives (such as in Magic the Gathering) are too possibilities.
The dice graphics come in seven variations of color/icon (or not) against a white background (suitable for a typical D6). All graphics were made from scratch.
