Description

[Edit] [History]

A game inspired from the very first prehistoric cities built in the Near East some 10,000 years ago.

Each player represents a clan which settles with other clans to erect a village. The replica of a Neolithic settlement is built on the table using small square pieces representing houses.

Hoyuk is a game of placement, with some part of negotiation.

It is available for free print & play on the author's website.

July 2007 : Hoyuk is the 2007 recipient of Parthenay Game Designer's Trophee.
This price is awarded during the 2 weeks game festival of Parthenay (France). Prototype games are tested and graded during the festival by the public and a jury. Both grades are eventually combined and the game with the highest average wins.
