Description

[Edit] [History]

Explore, Settle, Develop, Trade, Consume, or Produce? Which do you need the most? Which of Earth's former colonies will be most successful at settling the galaxy, now that JumpDrive exists? Who will discover the secrets of the mysteriously vanished Alien Overlords? Your goal: to build the most prosperous and powerful space empire!

From the Rules:
In Race for the Galaxy, players build galactic civilizations by game cards that represent worlds or technical and social developments.

Each round consists of one or more of five possible phases. In each round, each player secretly and simultaneously chooses one of seven different action cards and then reveals it. Only the selected phases occur. For these phases, every player performs the phase’s action, while the selecting player(s) also get a bonus for that phase.

From Rio Grande Games:
The players compete to explore the galaxy by settling new worlds and developing new technologies. Each turn each player chooses one action, but the others will share in the actions chosen. In the end, the player with the most points is the winner!

7 Race For the Galaxy Solo Variants
Microsoft Word - Race for the Galaxy Sol...
A PDF containing the variants culled from the R4tG solo threads that I could find as of 3-15-08. I've tried to be complete (for my own edification), let me know if I've missed a thread. I've also tried to give credit to all those whose work I'm posting. If I've missed that, let me know as well. Enjoy
1 Game Ratings Tracking Script
elogamerankings_v0dot2.zip
Version 0.2 - Changes 1) Fixed an issue where a player rating for a game may not be added into their total (and would be tracked separately) if they tied another player and their name did not have a space in it 2) Changed script to print out results by game name in alphabetical order instead of randomly
1 RftG: Colour Coded Card Reference
RftG - Colour Coded Card Reference.xls
A colour coded table of the cards. Worlds, normal developments and 6-cost developments are in different tabs. Cards are sorted a) by price, b) by VPs, c) alphabetically. The aim was to make it easy to scan for cards that support a specific strategy. Should be newbie-friendly, too.
2 Tuckbox for Player Action Cards (sleeved)
Tuckbox for Player Action Cards (sleeved).pdf
A tuckbox for the 36 player action cards in sleeves. The box should be big enough to fit a variety of sleeve sizes, but there are no gaurantees that your sleeves will fit. It does fit my Ultrapro and Player's Choice sleeves. This tuckbox has a glued bottom and it matches the look and feel of "Tuckbox for Game Cards". Base tuckbox generated at http://tuckbox.gameupdates.com/.

race ref card.doc
This player aid fits on a card that when folded is the same size as the playing cards themselves. This means it will fit nicely in the tuckbox that holds your VP chips. It is also a lot less overwhelming than the official reference cards.
