Origins Award winning game designer Kory Heath brings us CRIMINALS. Your ears still ring with the sound of sirens as you sit in your cell, sweating it out with your associates. Last night's crime wave is the talk of the town, and the cops are hot for some convictions. Uncover your associates’ crimes and sell them out for a deal. If you can uncover the Boss' crime, you can all go home. But if you're wrong, and the Boss walks, it's the slammer for you!
Each player is dealt a crime card, representing the crime they have committed. Was it Arson, Murder, Kidnapping, Forgery, Blackmail, Robbery, or Vandalism that got them thrown away? The leftover crime card is the crime committed by The Crime Boss. Then players try to figure out who committed what crime by accusing each other.
If you're caught, you're out. But if you're accused incorrectly, you can try to finger someone else for the crime. If you're right, the police let you go and you win, but if you're wrong, you're taken in and lose.
During any round, anyone can go after The Crime Boss. Be absolutely sure that you're right, however, as going after him ends the game.
Play is reminiscent of Werewolf, but without the need for as many players, and without a moderator.
