This is a French made reproduction of a 19th century table top game that resides at the Smithsonian. The title, in French, translates to "Fishing or Treasure".
The contents of the box are:
10 fish
2 wooden fishing rods with working reels
1 cardboard aquarium
The fish vary from actual representations of fish, to junk, to treasure all with variable point values. The wooden fishing rods are quite nicely made with different colored red or green parts for each player. Each fishing line is fitted with a magnetically tipped wooden bit to allow players to catch the metal ringed fish. The cardboard aquarium is large enough to conceal the fish from view and is printed with beautiful period graphics.
