Thread: Re: Favorite 2-player variant (One Casino per person & No AI)

Thank you for making a workable variant for one of my favorite games. It's just the two of us so we rarely get to play VS. I thought the rules worked very well, but adapting to so much cash is a bit strange at first. :)

Thanks again!

-Rob

Thread: Re: Event Cards

It is indeed option one! If there arte no open Premier spaces there will be no card drawn that turn. Of course, if there is more then one space open then you draw MORE cards. You could draw as many as 4 given how the turn went (and 5 players).

Also note with 2 or more cards drawn you may have interactions...such as a TAX card which halves the income and a CONVENTION card which means you draw money from population instead of $. So in that case you STILL get half of what you should have had.

Thread: Event Cards

Just played my first game of Vegas Showdown. Great fun!
Quick question on the Event Cards:
- do you only draw an Event Card when there is a premier space empty? or
- do you always draw an Event Card during step 2?

We played it like option 2, but after rereading the rules, I think it should be option 1.

The rules state:
For a 3-player game, leave the space marked “4–5 Players Only” empty for the entire game.
In all other cases, fill an empty premier space on the game board by drawing 1 card from the Event deck.

So it's probably option 1.
