FYI,

Chris Fawcett needs to get a new web host and it will take some time.

Before that, those who want his home rules files must contact him directly.

Pascal

I would like having those alternate rules and expanded movement charts too!

Trying different paths on server gave me this working link:
http://zappa.brainiac.com/yankeeap/pbem.htm
but it is for CB modules... Even the Yankee Air pirates home page doesn't work!
May be Chris Fawcett (yankeeap@mchsi.com) could tell us more?

As he is a member, I've sent him a mail... Wait & See!

Pascal

Down in the links section of this page, there are two that interest me - the Expanded Movement Charts & the Alternative rules PDF. Both point to non-existent pages.

Does anyone have these files, and could send me a copy?

Thread: Game Scales

Given that Triremes are about 120 ft (40m) by 18ft (5.5m) and that they occupy the majoity of 2 hexes, I'm thinking the hexes are about 20m width each.

Bearing in mind an average cruse speed of 2 hexes per turn, and an estimated average battle speed of 4 knots (1850m x 4 = 7400m per hour), the turn must be about 20 seconds long?!
