Thread: Best Quest in Wizards of Morcar?

Following up on people's votes for best Quest in the main game (Thread Here), here is the list for the Wizard's of Morcar. We got this one MUCH later, after finishing all of the other Quests so we only played it once.

Quest 1 - The Tower of the High Mage
Quest 2 - Crypt of the Necromancer
Quest 3 - Eyrie of the Storm Master
Quest 4 - Lair of the Orc Shaman
Quest 5 - The Final Conflict

It was a little predictable that the Heroes would have to face all of the Wizards at once... but I liked Quest 5 the most. The 4 sorcerers started in the centre room at the same time as Heroes entered, and they could move and open doors, etc. It was pretty neat to be able to control them more like real Heroes than dummies waiting for a Hero to "see" them before they can cast defensive Spells. The wall Spells (Wall of Flame and Wall of Ice) were good for separating Heroes from one another as well. It at least allowed the game controller to actually "play" a little more and disrupt the player's habit-formed HQ actions!

This is the thoughest expansion and for good reason.
The Mercenaries for hire add a lot of dimension to the game and make it possible to play with 2 players. also be able to use them in the base game or other expansions.
There are 4 different mercenaries:
-Crossbowmen wich have the ability to attack from a save distance (great in hallways)
-Fighters wich are very strong man to man but slow moving.
-Hellebardiers wich are strong in fighting
-scouts wich are fast moving and perfect to well, scout.
I think the crossbowmen and fighter are the best one but They also cost you more gold than the other two every time between quests.
This set also comes with some new treasure cards and 4 evil wizards wich each have their own deck of spells.
the components in this set seem to be of better quality than the other expansions. the box is also bigger.
there are only 5 quests in this one but they are grueling! lots of creatures and traps.
If you enjoy heroquest this is the expansion to get. Only released in Europe but translations and english cards available on the net.
