But you can use a Panic roll result without restriction... this may allow you to &quot;reverse&quot; your own action (or, nominally, reverse the previous player's action).&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In all cases, it seems to me from miscellaneous reading but no solid source, the &quot;can't reverse the previous action&quot; as only about using the very same nominal action but in the reverse direction, rather than about not restoring a previous position. I would think so, but that's not &quot;official&quot;. The rulebook does say &quot;same action&quot;, and thoe two are indeed different actions from the Lamb Slam.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;3.I think that after the panic action, the sheep are no longer in a proper position to undo the previous player's action (am I missing something?). That said, I think you &lt;i&gt;can&lt;/i&gt; use an action to undo a panic action. Both restriction rules specify the &lt;i&gt;player's&lt;/i&gt; previous action. A panic is the game itself doing something apart from anyone's strategy.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;    </description>

	<title>Thread: Reversing a previous move</title>
	<description>There are two types of restrictions that prevent you from using the same action as the previous player's action to simply reverse that action.  One makes an exception for a previous sheep panic roll and the other doesn't.  I have three questions about those restrictions.&lt;br&gt;1. If the previous player did a wool rule (fence) move in one direction, and doing a wool rule move in the opposite direction would not leave the flock in exactly the same places as before the first move, would the second one be legal?  I think this would be the case most of the time.&lt;br&gt;2. Could I use a line push or diagonal push to undo the previous player's lamb slam?  It's not the same action as the previous action, although it has the effect on undoing it.&lt;br&gt;3. If there is a previous sheep panic action (either a lamb slam or a ewe turn), is it that action that may not be reversed, or is it the previous player's regular turn action?&lt;br&gt;</description>

	<description>The manual says regroup the smallest group first. Since A and B are the same size the player can choose which one he wants to do first.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;My manual (dutch) says that when the group is diagonal to &lt;b&gt;a&lt;/b&gt; group, you may choose which way you move horizontally. An when it is completely loose you roll the die. It doesn't say the main flock, but a group.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;So yes, you can join it with a first, and then join the AB group to the main flock. (Both through horizontal movement, no die rolling)</description>

	<description>My wife (Red) and I (Green) hadn't played in a while, and really enjoyed the comeback in this game to a cliffhanger finish.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;Note:&lt;/b&gt; The flock in my diagrams ALWAYS faces down. When there is a Ewe Turn, I rotate the whole display afterwards so the flock is still facing down.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Each turn shows what options the player had, and what they chose.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;This writeup details EVERYTHING, showing 35 separate moves. (But the game could have played out that way if the Panic Die had shown Green.)&lt;br&gt;If the Panic Die shows White, instead of a Lamb Slam the player does a Ewe Turn. This causes the front left sheep to be further away from the other  blue sheep. There is now a sheep directly in between them which is slightly more awkward to deal with. Both red sheep are still in touch with the black sheep for the next round. They are able to move into touch with one another relatively easier for this round. 	<description>Hi Gordon, thanks for chiming in.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In the Mayfair setup as shown, only Red and Blue are the active players so I don't need to worry how Green will score. I'm assuming I'm Red, and trying to promote my position / make it harder for Blue.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mostly I asked the question because I was writing up a complete point-by-point session on a game my wife and I really enjoyed recently. I took full notes and reconstructed the game afterwards. Neither my wife nor I can figure what on earth she was thinking with her opening move... as Red, she slammed the top left Green sheep down/right and resolved the flock by pushing her loose Red sheep back to the left.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;(It put her sheep one step further apart, and didn't touch my blues.)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Anyway, neither of us are experts. We made two incorrect moves during the game! (We picked up on one at the time, but not the other.)</description>

	<description>Joe,&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We had not noticed the setup had been changed !  In our original design, we played the set-up as normal (with each colour a knight's move apart). Credit to Mayfair - they came up with the excellent idea of having each player roll twice (instead of once) at the start of a 2 player game to mix the flock up more. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;**IGNORE MY COMMENTS HERE - see BELOW. I MISUNDERSTOOD THE SET UP !** &lt;br&gt;However, going back to your question - I would lamb slam one of the green sheep down the side of the flock. This is because :-&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;1. It puts the green sheep further apart for scoring in the first field (they are now more than a single lamb slam apart).&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;2. I like having my opponents sheep to the side of the flock as it makes them more vulnerable to wool rule and ewe turn.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;3. It moves the green sheep to a space not touching the black sheep (with an eye on the 2nd field scoring). Having sheep on either side of the flock also makes it more difficult to get both sheep next to the black sheep in 1 move.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;4. It may allow you a more flexibility should you roll green again.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Just some thoughts off the top of my head .... :-) My brother may disagree ! 	<description>Well certainly you can use most of these startup slams to nudge your opponent's sheep apart and your own together. And you might even consider working your own toward the front and theirs back a little.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;You can come out of the slams with quite an advantage. In our last game, my wife had such a positional advantage (she went first) that she got her one score in, then I simply rushed to the end of Paddock #1 because I wasn't going to get anything out of it.</description>
