Having played this alot recently i can certainly say that I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I have really enjoyed the last few times that I have played it and it just keep getting better and better.

Ok. So as I said we had a fantastic game yesterday. It's not just something I'm saying, because I'll be the first to say that the game I had two days ago was not as enjoyable.

Some really cool things happned in terms of narative. If I had the time to do a session report I would, but one of the players "Michael" said he might at some point (since he won I think he's pretty motivated) :D. Michael tried the game yesteday for the second time and won. He was one of the early playtesters and I convinced him to try it again.Anyway it was an epic game and through great play of cards and the timing of an attack Michael managed to board my frigate and kill me. It gained him a large fat rewardd which the English had put on my head, courtesy of robbing a few merchants.

What I can say that the Merchant Raid system I spoke about in another thread works like a charm. I'm REALLY happy what it brings to the game. Michael brought along a friend of his who tried it for the first time, and inspite of the joking images below he also thoroughly enjoyed himself.

All I can say is, if a game this promising is languishing without a publisher, then the publishers must all have a huge backlog of incredibly great games on their schedules.

Of all the recent run of pirate games, this is the only one that really sparked my interest and enthusiasm, and it would be in the top tier of my list of all titles currently on the horizon.

Thanks. Yeah, I know that atleast one of the companies have SO much on their plate that it's quite something that they are even willing to have a look at it. I reckon it's a very good sign. If they have as much fun with it as I did yesterday then I think they will be quite eager to pick it up :)

Hi Justin. They ruls have changed but to the better. I would say the game is 50% more polished than what you read. Small tweaks here and there which to a reader might not seem like big changes but those small finetunings really bring better gameplay. So to answer your question the overall concept and gameplay is the same. But many subtle changes have been made which really make it a better experience.

P.S. It looks like you've dropped a piece on the floor - you might want to grab that before the cat gets it...

hehe, yeah. That is a print out of a Galleon - used before we had the minis. But now as we imagine this is our last chance at securing a publishing deal we are going for maxiumum impact. So we ordered 5 sets of ships which we will send along with the game.

I would even buy the prototype !

Please don´t let us wait any longer !
