Thread: Re: Looks cool, where's the info?

Gameplay-wise, this seems not unlike a game like Redneck Life, a simulation of somebody else's life where you learn about all the random shit that happens to them. The difference is that this is more political, a bit more highbrow, has better art direction and is not meant to be funny or fun.

From the designer:
In my view, this itself show that Among Us[Unter uns] is not a game that is supposed to be fun; its aim is to inform and educate, or it can be used as a tool to encourage discussion in group work.

As good as it looks, first impressions will make me take a pass on this one.

Thread: Re: Looks cool, where's the info?

Nice link, this sums it up pretty nicely. The game itself hasn't found a publisher yet. And the designer says that it will be difficult to find one, as the game "isn't supposed to be fun". In fact he playtested it with his friends before handing it in and they told him, the game is unbalanced and no fun. But as this is an educational game, it is the effect he was aiming for. The game depicts the difficulties an illegal alien can have in Germany, and his/her life definitely is no fun. He wanted to transport that feeling into the game.

If you have any questions, or even a publisher, who might be interested, just head over to the designer's homepage:
http://www.keinpasskeinspass.de/
Under "Kontakt" you will find his email-address. I contacted him earlier before uploading the pictures and asked him whether it is ok, if someone writes him with questions about the game, and he is happy to answer any questions you might have.

Cheers.

Yes, I found a longer interview detailing the game. Nice thought but pity he wasn´t a boardgamegeek. It does not seem worth any trouble to get, maybe something for the local Amnesty division though. Thanks anyway!

Just contact the designer and ask if he can help..
bf@keinpasskeinspass.de
(IMHO this is just another roll(=draw event cards) and move game without any more decisions than "do I move right or left?" Or: Snakes and ladders with event cards.)
Very nice looking, though.

Thread: ? Anyone know how to get it?

Hello! Is there anybody out there that knows how to get this game or play it. I guess that some of the rules and game-play can be extracted from the designers webpage and the board could be retrieved from the photos but how about the cards, what is on them?
