Exactly, I am planning on using the Express route. The new goods growth system will have to wait though.

By the way, thanks for your insightful comments on the Age of Steam-show with the Metagamers, I enjoyed it immensely:)

The goods growth system is the major change, and I could see not using that if you plan on having them play other maps in the future; they might be annoyed with the dice afterwards :laugh:

Yeah, the changes are absolutely minor and I am keen on trying them out. But I am going to teach some AoS newbies the game tonight and I thought that maybe it is a good idea to teach them the basics first.

I'm not the designer, but having played this, I don't see the map being horribly altered by playing with the original rules.

Honestly though, I have to ask "Why?" The rules changes are minor and create a couple of interesting wrinkles to the system. I have used this map to teach the game to newbies before, with no problems.

I like this map, it is more varied than the original AoS-map. But do I need to use the special rules that comes with the map or can I just go with the original ones if I want to?

Does the special rules deal with some issues with the new map that would make the game unbalanced if played with the original rules?
