Go figure!
After that I tried 2 different other theme: Spies and Pirates. Several companies where suddenly interested. It didn't pan out however so stay tuned because I just submitted that game (Exam 101) here on the BGG as a print and play game. If it is approved, I'll upload the game in its 3 different themes. Players will be able to download the game in the theme they prefer.

Hi!

This very funny! Another designer with the same idea. That's fine. Maybe we will meet there.

The Game is available now. There might be some translation errors but no change will be done to the rules for a while.

As for Essen, I won't be attending. It's a bit far and I have twin girls coming any day now which will keep busy for the next few months (read years ).

Probably you've misunderstood my post. It's not a problem for me that I got negative ranks (even if I'd like to read some comments about it).

A "10" or a "1" without any comment is no useful for me...

And obviously most ranks are italian 'cause the game is known in Italy (and someone is naturally a friend!) but almost unknown outside of it. That's all! No need to hide something.

I did't want to be polemical or anything else, but thanks for your post!

Thread: Two players variant

I started testing this two players variant. Help me if you like to and test it.. But please let me know how it works and what do you think about it. Thanks

Follow the normal rules with only these two execptions:

SETUP
Remove from the deck this cheat cards (3 orange, 3 violet, 5 green, 5 blue and 5 red), 2 study/jokers and 6 stress cards (black). That's a total of 29 cards.

PLAY STRESS CARDS
When you play a stress card against your opponent, he can discard a stress cards in stead of a cheat (or joker) card. You relax yourself, you bring your pal with you and if he's under stress, he enjoy himself too.

Note: You still cannot play two stress cards against the same opponent so pay attention and don't draw another stress card if you are already under stress!!

Have fun and have a good test!
mm
This is particulary right. If you feel you have been so unlucky, the best thing to do is to play it another time.

Anyway in Easy School you can also take cards from the face up pool and thus you may counterbalance the effect of bad luck... This is the element I like most in this game.
I love push your luck games (and on a higher level, "risk management" games).
Some (or even a lot) random factors in a game will make them less predictable (or in other words, boring...).
Of course, better if they don't last that long, so that you can always have another game if you've been really unlucky.

Thread: Push your luck?

Since Easy School is a card game which is basically a good and funny (IMHO) version of the general "push your luck" game system, I'd like to know what do you think about this simple mechanic..

I like it because players may play the game in very different ways: you can be very daring and always push it to the limit but you can also be conservative, count the number of stress card and think about probability... Or even a mix of these two extreme ways of playing...

Thread: "Semester End" variant

At the beginning of the game, players may agree to add this special rule:

When a player draws the first special card "Semester End", after the normal rules (examination, vacation and face up pool card reset), players may look inside their victory pile (without changing the order!) and see what cheat cards they have claimed.

This is especially important because for the second semester player may concentrate themselves and they may try to collect cards that give them more points.

(And this can be also a good variant for players who have less memory... )

Walter Obert told me about this variant during his first play at Essen 2007 and I think it's a very good idea..

Try it!
