Thread: Re: Is there an English release of this planned?

Get it in the current form. It has English & German cards/rules in the box. All versions are that way.

Rio Grande Games had some in stock at one point so you can contact them about getting it. That's where I got my copy.

It's highly recommended since it fixes some problems in the base game.

The German version has both English and German rules and cards. A few cards have text so they included both versions.

Great expansion, I highly recommend it.

I had to order All-Zeit with a german game order our group did, but I just noticed that B & B has this in stock:
http://www.boardsandbits.com/product_info.php?products_id=20...
I belive its the german version, but I think it has English Rules inside as well.

This post is for anyone reading this thread long from now and who needs to order from Shire Games. My air mail order from Shire Games in the UK arrived in the eastern US in about a week. It was packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition.

I have no regrets about my order. I will gladly order from Shire Games again if they have products that are not readily available in the US.

I've been checking the RGG site every week or so and finally decided to send an email. I almost pulled the trigger on the Shire Games site before emailing Jay.

My copy of Space Dealer is German so at least everthing will be consistant.

Oh fiddlesticks. I looked on the RGG website a few days ago and could not find it available, so I placed an order with Shire Games in the UK. If the RGG price includes shipping, then the price difference plus shipping from the UK minus VAT converted to U.S. dollars totaled to almost twice that price.

Thread: Available from RGG

I emailed Jay at RGG a few days ago (via the RGG website) regarding availability or a US release. He responded that he had the German version available for $10 via PayPal. I'm not sure how many copies there are but that's certainly a better price than shipping overseas. Hopefully this helps some of you still looking for a copy.

You will need two copies (just picked up two for myself..).

As far as I know, you could pick and choose doesn't seem like it should affect it too much, but how could you leave out the cleaners?! They should hilarious! (I haven't actually played with all-zeit yet.

Thread: Double All-Zeit?

OK, Let's say I have two sets of Space Dealer. (I don't, I just found Space Dealer at my game store and after reading on it I'm debating with myself on buying two sets, pros is that I could get more players in and even get 4 players in any combination of colors, cons is too much duplication, two CDs which movies I can't watch because I don't speak german, and delivery chips that aren't used, hehe).

Let's keep saying that I want to get All-Zeit at some other point to go with my double Space Dealer set. Will it work for 8 players? If so, I would need to buy it twice, too... hmm, this game will be expensive.

Another question would be if I could pick some parts of the expansion to add or I need to add it all at once or not at all. For instance use the replacement mines but leave the wacky cleaners out, or something like that, or will this broke the game in some unseen manner?

I just got a copy. The box size is- 5 1/8" x 4" x 7/8"

It's very small. Inside you get 44 cards, 10 white cubes, and 2 rule sheets (English & German).

After reading the rules and cards this really is a "must have" expansion. Seems more like a big patch to the game really. Replacement Gizzi cards, replacements for other cards, and some new stuff to help balance out the game.

All-Zeit, the Space Dealer expansion, was released at Essen 2007. Back at the end of October, Rio Grande Games (RGG) indicated they would be bringing some copies of the game into the country (this was in response to a BGG thread). Since then, I have had several short email exchanges, going back to January 2008, with RGG regarding All-Zeit and its arrival here in the States.

Does anyone have any idea if and when All-Zeit will find its way to the States?

The only place I've seen it available is direct from Eggert-Spiele, but the postage is prohibitive (it's like 8 euro for the game, 25 euro shipping to the US). Are there any other European mail-order places that ship to the US that I might be able to acquire it through? None of the usual US suspects seem to have it on their radar, and it sounds like there might be some uncertainty as to the availability through RGG.

I would buy All-Zeit if I could.

So if you have 8 players, do you need to buy 2 copies?

I will be bringing in a limited number to start - all that
was available - more later. Not sure how I will offer it
as it has the German title, but will advise when it is here
on the website. I will have a copy at BGG.CON.

Jay

Doesn't seem the usual online shops are carrying it. Not even Funagain which usually has the harder to find stuff and is stocking a lot of the Essen releases. Any news on how US buyers can get this?

Thread: Re: Spy Bunker question

Ok, thanks Tobias. That makes sense. So you don't have to place a VP token right as it ends. But you'd have to leave that timer there until you are ready to place the VP token. Then you place your VP token on the tech you want, then flip the timer for second time.

So now all I need to do is find someone that is selling them in the US. I have a friend going to BGG Con and he's going to look there just in case its available at the Con.

Thread: Re: Spy Bunker question

Hi Scott,

I can see no mistake in your interpretation. The precise timing is the key to use this card. If you want to spy a card, you run a timer on the Spy Bunker without using it immediately after it ran out. Wait 'till the appropriate player has all his timers runing (hopefully not on the card you want). Now you activate the Bunker again by placing the timer. The other player has (without Sabotageprobing) no chance to rescue his card. The even better choice is to integrate a loaded chronosphere in this plan. ... and just be quiet, because sometimes the first activation of a spybunker runs out without anyone noticeing ... 'till its too late.

The point is, that you loose two minutes, but get the exact card you need. You don't even need to improve to techlevel 3, because you can steal the cards. With this you get level-3-cards even with the possibility to get the "High Tech"-card.

Greetings
Glomeor

Thread: Spy Bunker question

The Spy Bunker is kind of confusing. It says-

Spy Bunker 4x (TL 1):
After a sand timer runs out, the player may place his own victory point marker on a card in another player’s planning area (this does not count towards the end of the game criterion). If one of the player’s victory point markers has already been placed, the marked card may be moved to the player’s own planning area after the sand timer has run out once more, without the other player having the right of objection. The marker is returned to owner’s stock. If the card is built before that, the marker goes to owner’s stock without any effect.

If I read this right you run a sand timer on the Spy Bunker. When it runs out you place a VP marker on another player's tech in planning area. Then you run another sand timer on Spy Bunker. When it runs out you can take the tech card that already has a VP marker on it. So sounds like you run a sand timer twice and you can take a tech. But if the player builds it before you do it twice then you don't get it. Not sure how useful that is though I suppose it allows you to take a tech that someone has been sitting on.
