Assuming this guy is one of them, expect to see 3 more in the future.

Don't feel too slighted. I have the promo figure, but still no character card for the figure, and I sent in the slip we were told to mail in, in order to get the character card, within about a week of GenCon.
Everyone else I know, that has the promo figure and sent in for the card, has not received the character card yet either.

So right now, as far as I know, all you are "missing out" on is a single plastic mini, no more a fully playable game piece than any other miniature you would like to use.

Thread: So when will FFG give us more info about the TOI promo figure?

Last I checked ALOT of players were angry that there was a promo figure given out at GenCon to those who bought TOI.....many of us were unable to attend but have supported FFG alot over the years. A FFG rep posted (to those of us who were concerned about the promos limited availability) that we should nor drop $30 or so on eBay to get this fig and all but said that the fig would be available at a later time......

well, TOI has now been released and I want to know if FFG was going to indeed honor their statement or was this just lip service to try and control the blow-back at those loyal FFG customers who feel slighted about not getting all the available heros for TOI???

Customs, shipping peak periods (ports/trains/etc are all bringing in Xmas products, for every industry right now) and other complications can happen. This summer we had a few products delayed by weeks because the state next to us flooded out, leaving their rail network a mess and a bunch of rerouting had to happen.

The only way to efficiently predict when large amounts of products will arrive internationally is to purposely overshoot and hold the product until that date.
Oshio wrote:
I'm amazed at some of the responses here. How is lacking a single character creating an 'incomplete' game? Does the game play any worse with the dozens of characters that are available? Did you not enjoy the game before this expansion (and extra character) came out? Call me crazy, but I'm failing to grasp how lacking a single character can make the game any worse. Not trying to start any fights here, I just think that it's strange to let such a small thing upset you so much.

Was the figure either:
1.absolute garbage (then why did they release it?)
2.Fantastic (Then why do the rest of us customers get snaffed?)
3. Really average(as per 1 above:then why did they release it?)

So, if you are releasing an average or rubbish figure, why do that to your customers, and if you release a fantastic figure to only a select bunch of customers with an attitude of who cares about rest of them why do that either?

Reminds me of DOW with the unbalanced cards issue. They pretty much ignored that battle with many of their consumers. But after the dust settled, they had lost a great deal of their initial fan base. Crazy, and for what?????

However, I must say that Fantasy Flight have excellent customer service! Thats why I believe they will come to the party (eventually!)
Thanks Thaadd for all of your help in the past!

An insect lair full of spiders and fire beetles with a "Hive mother" at the end.
4. An abandoned keep with 3 ice wurms to fight as the main opponents.
5. A Manticore lair.
6. "The Tomb of Ice" Most extensive with 3 dungeon levels and 2 major encounter areas including a Master Demon.

There were also 4 dungeons for RTL and one Rumour.

Hi everyone,

The rulebook on p4. mentions a new Overlord card called "Lone Wendigo", which I haven't found in the box. Curiously, the list of components says 12 Overlord Cards, and there are 12 (there are two Frozen Path and Sneak Up on the Prey each).

Does anyone have the Lone Wendigo, or is it just an error in the rulebook/did it got cut from the final version?

Like a treasure expansion or treachery expansion, or just new monsters or just RTL dungeons or something? I kind of feel like Tomb of Ice could've been divided up into 2-3 smaller expansions.

I sincerly hope that FFG dont start releasing small Descent expansions like they do for Runebound. One expansion per game per year (roughly) is just about the level that I like.

If a glut of smaller expansions start to come out it tends to put me off: I dont like the feeling that I should be constantly "up to date" with smaller purchases. In short, it becomes too "collectable". The current expansion size suits me just fine.

I agree. I like the pace of current expansions (even though I've "fallen behind" and have yet to pick up RtL). I would like a small all-card expansion though, containing only treasures, market cards, character modifications, and a few treachery cards, mostly treasures though. It would be nice to get an even greater variety of loot into the game, and large expansions tend to focus more on new characters, creatures, and tokens. Perhaps a deck of 150-200 cards, sold for a reasonable price. No miniatures, dungeon pieces, tokens, or anything else. Another small expansion I think could work would be a scenario book, spiral-bound or some other method that sits flat when opened. This could have several dozen new scenarios, using pieces and rules from all the large expansions released to date. It could also include a sheet or two of tokens, if special scenario rules called for them.
