Thread: Good game to break out for a change...

Fast Hand (the R&R version) is a fun little game that takes a short amount of time and gets people moving and reacting. The game itself is fairly simple in concept, flip a card to reveal a set of hands or solitary hand that is pointing, flat, fist etc., match your hand to the card quicker than anyone else to avoid getting the card. A judge, the person who lost last round and flipped the card, gives the card to the person with the slowest hands. Easy enough right? Well here is the interesting part then, some of the cards have impossible configurations. The hands pictured simply cannot be done without breaking bones and removing arms. In this case you must touch your sholders. Again pretty straight forward, but agin another twist. If the impossible picture shown has parallel arms then you must cross your arms to touch your shoulders. If the picture has crossed arms you must touch your shoulder with parallel arms. The faster this game moves the more exciting it gets. The concepts are not that hard, make your hands like the picture, but once you get really zipping it becomes more intense. In the R&R version the game comes in a rather large box for only 60 cards. The cards are of average durability, card stock but not highly plasticized. Compare this game to Jungle Speed for it's dexerity requirement, but in game play it lacks a bit of the hyper-adereniline rush that JS induces. Nice filler while someone goes to the washroom, or deals with a screaming child. I think it will go over well in the games club at my school in September.
