Kadon wood board with instruction. The stones and bowls are from a Go set, but are very similar to the ones supplied.

Physically this is a beautiful game as are many of Kadon's products. The rules are very simple. Each player places stones that look like large go stones at the intersections of a triangular board and the first player to connect three sides wins.

A corner counts as belonging to both sides to which it is adjacent. Also, it can be shown that someone must eventually win; ties are impossible.

Another aspect of the game I used to rely on when my daughter was younger was the ability to handicap the game. Simply put you just give one player a number of free moves to make before the game begins. Of course in more recent years I am usually the one who could use the handicap.

The Kadon board is not completely uniform which adds some interest to the game. However, it is possible to play the game with a uniform board at www.gamerz.net.
