Sounds like PASS THE PIG.
You could use those rules
and play a game using 3 meeples.
Thread: Re: tiny tiny variant

How do you play your RIVER II tiles?
I suggest that you lay one of the END tiles aside and then use the Y as your starting tile. Everybody lays down River tiles as usual and somewhere along you will put down 2 of the 3 Ends. But since you put the third end tile to the side you will continue to place ALL the River tiles until they are gone. Then a player finishes the River with the remaining end.

Thread: Re: 12-point Cloisters

The cloisters area of control could be made larger if there were some sort of markers to say which land belongs to the cloister (The Church) and which land belongs to the Lord in the City. This would be an interesting change to how the farm land is scored.

Thread: Re: Schlappy's MONDO Carcassonne/Expansions House Rules

I agree with you that the Dragon expansion is too chaotic and I won't use it. HOWEVER, I love all the new tiles in the expansions but I hate the pictures on them. I especially don't like the Dragon pictured on the tiles. So here's my ideas:
I decided to say that the picture of the dragon is where somebody once saw a dragon (a memorial marker) and then I ignore the picture. The volcano is damaged farm land and can't be counted as part of the farm. The tile with the mound that has a door (and those 3 arrows on top) is a "Hobbit hole" where the farmer can rest - get 1 extra point. Also the Princess's picture represents a Royal Visit and receives one extra point just like the shield/pennant. I don't know what to do with the fairy but I'm sure somebody has a great idea for that.

Thread: Re: Trading Posts Variant

Wonderful! This is a great idea for the Hut from H&G. If you look at my two variants you will see that I suggested removing the hut from Hunters & Gatherers using the hut as another market tent in the Carcassonne: Castle.
Thanks for this suggestion. I'm definitely going to use it.

TiwazTyrsfist wrote:
Wow, we've never actually had it turn out where we COULDN'T play a tile even in standard play. Often we end up having to make really useless plays though. Off on a side where nothing is, making dozens of two space roads and two segment cities, churning low scoring weak plays while we wait and hope for one of the three tiles that will actually fit and finish our Uber Cathedral City.

Just happened on our fourth game. Drew the all city tile when there were only like 5 tiles on the table, and no city-sides available.

If that gap is green, it's connected to the green around it. The only time a road actually ends a field area is if it ends at a gate, goes under a bridge, or ends at an intersection.

Thread: What constitutes a field?

I just got the game this weekend and am a bit confused on a couple of issues. The main issue being what constitutes a field. On certain pieces of the city tiles the road runs very close to the city. If a road is built along this small gap and never closed off will this make one large field or is that small gap considered closed next to the city? Not entirely sure and have not seen this issue brough up in the forums.

Thread: Re: ChipChuck Reviews: Carcassonne

I agree.

Many say Carcassone is booooooring or too childish. I think not.

It is exactly the game it aims to be. Easy to learn, yet more colourful when you start tacticizing against your opponents. And at the same time very well made with good solid components.

Expansions make it yet better (though I did not yet buy them ;) ).

All you need is a bag for all the components to carry wherever you go. No boxes, (hopefuly) no rules.
