Don't know where this idea came from but I don't think it's been visited before. Lots of lists about block games, but this one is going to focus on games where blocking your opponent(s) can be a key tactic. Please feel free to add.

The first time I played this game, I wasn't focusing on messing with my opponents, I wanted to fit my pieces. My husband on the other hand royaly screwed me several times and before I knew it, I was pretty much blocked. |

Nearly the same scenario as above, but both my husband and son eliminated me from the game. |

I didn't think there would be much actual blocking in this, but sure enough, my husband blocked me from hiding myself. Did that make sense? |

Area enclosure games in general I think lead to blocking and messing with opponent's plans. |

- then *snik* (the sound the piece makes when it fits) - another player blocks me from expanding. Suddenly my happy little corner is looking claustrophobic.. 
and I was rushing to find another opening somewhere.
