The one that started it all. Five battles from the English Civil War 1642-1646. GMT published a polished version of the DTP game of the same name. The DTP version had 2 different battles and the GMT version added one the DTP game did not have. Now one of the originals - Cheriton is appearing in GMTs magazine C3i #17

I've got this one and I'm itching to play it. Thanks for designing what looks to be a great game! It's nice to see the ECW covered in such detail.

This is a great game: a fun challenge with just the right amount of tactical detail, plus a very colorful period of history that doesn't get the amount of gaming attention it deserves. Well done, Ben.

This game is now officially Out of Print, so the only way to obtain it is via existing store inventory or on the resale market. (5-24-2006)

With the exception of Nördlingen, these battles had never been gamed before. Lots of excellent situations overshadowed by Gustavus Adolphus and the Grand Condé.

This one is just a few shy of the magic 30 ratings (22 as of this posting). It would be nice to see it rated.

Thanks

I've had the chance to look this one over and GMT did a really nice job on the game components. I'm looking forward to giving this one a try.

Thanks, Mark Simonitch did a great job of using color. Knut Gruenitz did much of the map design and layout and Mark Siomonitch took those prototypes to produce the ones for the game.

It has been 10 years since GMT did Lion of the North with two battles of Gustavus Adolphus - Gustav Adolf in Swedish/German. This will cover that ground and add three more battles. Based on the latest scholarship, you will see a different take on the famous battles. We are including two battles from the Polish War to see Gustav Adolf earlier in his career.

I´ll probable pre-order this one. I´m very happy to see actual Swedish and German names in this one and in Sweden Fights on. Hint: you could also use this system for the wars between Sweden and Denmark in the 2nd half of the 17th century... :)

I am looking a doing several Post-Thirty Years War battles involving the Swedes. I have info on Warsaw (1656), Fehrbellin and Lund. The next volume after Gustav Adolf will be the Dutch War period 1674-1678.

Ben, I live on the battlefield of Lund, so if there is such a thing as pre-pre-pre-order, you have my money
