This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Thrift Store/Bargain Finds List Wayback Machine: The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly lists through time. He is also adding stats and interesting tidbits for us thrifty geeks. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time (with links to all previous lists)
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Belial I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

Saw one of these, in the box, behind the counter at Savers. No price tag, either. Usually behind the counter is where they put the "good" stuff. I inquired with a worker, who had to ask his manager, and was excited to hear them say "tag it at normal board game price." $1.99!
Box has seen better days, but the game itself looks pretty close to mint condition. Need to battery test it, but I'm hopeful I got a good one.
But this was the highlight. It took me a while to realize what it was as I had only seen it on a 'games that look nice' geeklist. £3.50 from Princess Alice Hospice. Box has minor shelf wear but contents look unplayed. 2nd edition pictured.
At the last stop of my run at the GW I usually hit first but because the staff has been extra lazy and their store is a disgrace and I haven't been giving them my patronage lately, I found a copy of Rook that was opened with the cards still sealed for only .99.
Found in the wild for only $2.99 at GW. All pieces accounted for and in good condition except for the fact that this game came from the home of a smoker. When I opened up the box, the residue of a 1,000 stinky cigars hit me. Still, it's in better condition than my house copy so I'm torn as to what to do with it so I'll probably sell it at the next flea market.
