This is an attempt to list the games on BGG that can be played with icehouse pyramids, sorted by rating. Some of them require additional materials.

A more official list can be found at http://www.icehousegames.com/SLICK.html

This list was inspired by Sonja's comment on another icehouse pyramid game list asking for the list to be sorted by rank. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist.php3?action=view&listi...

Additions are allowed, but please only add icehouse games.

Players stack pyramids, not allowing them to touch more pieces than the number of pips on the piece.

* Each player must place a piece of a different size than the previous placement. (The first piece placed on the Foundation is not affected by this rule.)
* The point of one piece cannot touch the inside point of another piece
* A piece can be placed on top of another piece as long as it does not violate these rules
* Pieces must be placed with one hand
* A player cannot touch any pieces other than one the being placed (unless reassembling after a break)

Pyrinoes, created by Andy Bond, is a two player game that combines two game systems: double-six dominoes and Looney Pyramids (three Treehouse sets). The pyramids serve as an extension of the dominoes, allowing players to construct a "pyrino" as desired, adding a fair amount of strategic hand management to classic dominoes. Players play several rounds until one player passes a winning score threshold.

The game is played in two phases: a placement phase, in which all the pyramids are placed onto the board, followed by a stacking phase, in which pyramids are collected into stacks.

If someone were to post the cards used in this game, you could make your own and play with icehouse pieces (and either a 4x4, 5x5, or 6x6 grid, which you probably already have for other various icehouse games).

I have not played this game, mostly due to the fact that it is the game that game before Gnostica and, in the comparisons that have been made between the two, it doesn't sound like it would appeal to me as much as Gnostica does due to randomness.

Alternate turns placing pieces onto empty squares. Then take turns jumping a piece, diagonally or orthogonally, over at least one other piece into an empty square. Each piece can jump over its pip-count in squares. Remove the jumped pieces, and score their pips. Continue until no jumps remain.

Plutonian Poker is a set collection game for 2 to 6 players (or more) designed by Spencer Lipori. It is the only finalist in the contest that uses only Looney pyramids. Players claim pyramids from a shared pool, making scoring combinations. However, you must stack your claims in the order you receive them, without the ability to rearrange them. This makes the more valuable combinations riskier to achieve. I'd call this a push-your-luck game with perfect information.

On each turn a player will place a single piece in a space on the board, lying down and pointing to an adjacent space (or off the board). If there is another piece in the space pointed to, that piece is rotated one notch clockwise (i.e. 90 degrees on a square grid, 60 degrees on a hex grid.) If the pieces just rotated now points to a space that contains a piece, that piece is also rotated one notch clockwise, and if that piece now points to a space which contains a piece… This process is continued until a piece points to an empty space or off the edge of the board. Then play passes to the next player to the left.
