An amusing recreation of the childhood jaunts that most of us experienced in our formative years. Sadly we must improvise extra tokens; the number of tiles included in the box can't cope with the vast hordes of treasure that you invariably haul out of the penguin's nest. In retrospective, perhaps a little too easy for all but beginner gamers.

Good to see that Inuits were finally included in the second edition of the Suomi version of the game. Rioting in the Arctic Circle has since reduced drastically and a cease fire has been called.

BTW, has anyone know where I can get a copy of Monopoly? Supposed to be an awesome game of property management with a little nice negotiation element.

This is one of the fastest paced most intetresting games I have ever played. I can't believe how many people missed this game when it was released. Although some people may be put off by the relatively unheard of license (based on the swedish comic book series of the same name) they can't help but love the complex skill driven mechanics and extremley strategic gameplay. My perdiction is that in the future as many people will own this game as Poisson d'Avril.

"Too bad this game came out after Age of Mythology, and Twilight Imperium, or its 'pick the role' mechanism would have been greatly revolutionary. It is also a shame it came out after Caylus or it might of gotten praised as a top strategy game. This was a sleeper title that just never quite caught on. What a pity. Only if it came out earlier.

Well, hopefully the designer has a better shot with his newly released Manhatten game, that came out after Puerto Rico. Do remember to play the game with the newly released 'Godzilla free' variant rules though. The Godzilla piece is cute, and glad they added it to the game, but it happens to make the game too simplistic and predictable."

A typical Eurotrash game, but quite fun until you exhaust all the trivia questions. If you want to keep it fresh, sooner or later you are forced to buy one of the dozens of expansions, of which the only one really worth buying is lavishly overproduced "The ruins of Barcelona", which nails the cliched theme of greedy Mayans destroying the ancient Spanish civilization perfectly.

What a crappy game. You are a virus and have to kill as many rapidly-multiplying humans as possible. The components are attrocious - whose bright idea was it to model humans as little plastic balls which keep rolling off the table? Also, the map of some imaginary blue-green world is horrible to look at - why the designer didn't at least choose a more natural and soothing red-yellow combination I don't know.

Well at least one must give certain bonus points for the gameplay - a roll-and-move mechanic is admittedly a fresh and popular concept and a competitive game is sorely needed nowadays when 99% of new releases are co-op games. Also, a 500-page rulebook written in ancient Cantonese is very clearly written and easily understandable.

Final grade: cabbage
