This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Thrift Store/Bargain Finds List Wayback Machine: The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly lists through time. He is also adding stats and interesting tidbits for us thrifty geeks. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time (with links to all previous lists)
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Hakfoo I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Belial, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

...Move Out. This was, strangely, the most expensive at $6.90 pre-discount, but what the hey, I went for it.
All in all a mighty cache. So many little counters in some of these- don't quite hit a thousand in any of them, but Gulf and Aegean Strike get close. Doing a full inventory will be pretty difficult, but it looks like they may be all in there- the maps etc. held the counter box pretty shut, though they all did get disorganized.
And finally, possibly my most monetarily-valuable thrift find so far, our elusive little friend Civilization! Picked this up buried under some drivel at Value Village for $2.95. Box has some white on the edges and has one very cleanly split corner, but is solid and in great shape overall. Insides are not only in excellent shape, but completely unpunched. Actually, a small row of 5 military units from the middle of the Asian card fell loose and I found 3 of them at the bottom of the box. I'll do another careful search to make sure, but it looks like 2 units might be MIA.
I tried playing this once and it was somewhat enjoyable, but after a partial game that lasted 3 or 4 hours, I have very little desire to play it ever again - just not my cup of tea. So, I have a fried who might be interested, otherwise it's going up for sale/trade.
EDIT: By the way, sorry, Brian -- I know these are your normal stompin' grounds.
$2 at DI. Found myself about an hour south last night. Made the drive back today hitting all the thrift stores I could. Took about 3 hours to make the 1 hour drive...and made me appreciate the local thrift stores more.
$15 at Half-Price Books. Haven't tried the DVD yet, but its Well of Fears has the "left in a hurry" feel with "lonelyness" (sic), "spiders," and 2 others "fears" scribbled on slips of paper still folded up in it. Hoping it will add a bit of "silly" to game night(s) if/when needed.
Found this for $0.50 today. It doesn't look like my cup of tea, though, so I was thinking about putting it up in a games for lottery. I'm dying to get a Minecraft Microbadge, and maybe this could help me pay for it!
"A hilarious DRINKING Game Stimulating-Amusing For Playboys and their Playmates" (as advertised in Playboy)
It is complete with a flyer except for the rules as far as I can tell. It seems to be very self-explanatory, though, so the rules might not even be necessary.
