You might think it is easy to destroy the earth, but it turns out to be remarkably difficult. Here's an overview of various methodologies for destroying our planet.

Full credit goes to Sam Hughes:

As for me, I have done absolutely nothing to forward the complete destruction of the Earth. Other than this geeklist...

Seriously piss of Tezcatlipoca by giving far too many sacrifices to his rival Queztlcoatl and not enough to him... good ol' Tezcatlipoca destroys the universe and everyone loses. The end.

IMPERIAL EXTERMINATUS:
The Imperium (or Empire of the Man) can simply throw enough bombs and missiles to disintegrate a planet.

Well, most of W40k races can do that. Eldars probalby can search for one of their ancients weapon they left over in one of the planet they created. Necrons could do the same, their bosses are near-godly lifeforms(but they would probably not do it, they would just hate lifeforms). Tyranids eat everything on the planets they succesfully invade(including many minerals and the core), I remember a planet totally shattered by them in a story.

THE EXCEPTION THAT BREAKS THE RULE

Actually, it's not that difficult to destroy the Earth.

Simply play Terra.

Once the participants wake up to the fact that the game is built on a foundation under which either one person wins or everybody DRAWS (ie the Earth dies), you tend to find that the faux cooperative aspect can't save poor old Earth.

This one was predicted earlier in the list [13], but no one has yet done the honors.

Honors done.

Yeah, I know the Earth will survive. I couldn't resist.

Hey Aliens! Get off your ass!

As this game simulates, you win if you simply invade before the earthlings complete the research necessary to defeat the invaders.
