My cat. His name is Jake and he likes to lay on game boards if they are on the floor (he does it every time). He is 10 years old, weighs 16 lbs, and is diabetic. We have to give him two insulin shots daily and he has to eat special food.
He is more like a dog than a cat. He hates being alone and follows us everywhere. He purrs if you look at him and rolls over on his back if you pet him. He meets us at the door when we come in the house.

Wow, and I thought we had the only cat like that! Andi is a great cat -- if she's sitting near you, she'll curl up and put her head on your leg, or stretch her leg out so she can JUST touch you. The only time she isn't purring is when there's thunder outside.
Our cat has just recently been diagnosed with diabetes. He was 22 lbs and got down to 12. He is 12 years old. Keith sounds very similar to Jake. He loves sitting on paper on the floor. I'm sure game boards would be a viable option for him, but I won't allow that to happen because he is having litter box trouble sigh .... He is fairly loving, but a bit snarky these days. We are still working on getting him regulated.
