This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Hakfoo I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Belial, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

This is one of my thrifting grails! I've found some decent games over the last year or two (including Civilization a few weeks ago), but this is by far my favorite. I played it at my babysitter's house when I was a kid, and have wanted to play it off and on ever since. Now all I need is Fireball Island and my "Baby-Sitter's Board Games" duology will be complete!
300 Mini Poker Chip Set (the kind with the really small chips) - $4.99 @ Greenacres GW
I've been wanting a mini-poker chip set but keep not buying them for one reason or another (usually price for shipping vs. the cost of the actual item). This is labelled as a Travel Poker Chip set. It is in a hard plastic case with rubberized edges. The hinge is broken but the rubber band provided by GW may be sufficient to keep it together. The chips were all new, still in shrink inside. Woo-hoo!
Time for a road trip from Hawthorne California to Ventura California. The time was not wasted! First, I found this (edition pictured) for the trade pile. Someone peeked at the booster pack and then discarded it. $2.15.
Ending a serious drought with this. Surprisingly, only missing 1 gold archer and the four pennant poles (unused pennant stickers included). A few figures have broken weapons but not too many. Board is clean and cracks like it's never been opened. Box in good shape except for one box bottom corner split and repaired with silver duct tape (why oh why?).
$3.95 at Amvets. This is a game I would never have picked up if I hadn't been following this thread. All pieces, board, instructions, etc present, but I did a quick count of the cards and it seems to be missing about 10 cards out of 500. Will more closely inventory later. I do plan to play the game, as lately I have found trying to flip games on eBay is such a pain, and the time and profit margin have not been much to justify auctioning for me, but I'm no pro like the others here. Maybe my thrifting has turned a corner.
Edit: Upon counting and recounting, COMPLETE!!! What a laborious chore to count through 500 cards, but it made a great valentines gift for my girlfriend.
