This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Hakfoo I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Belial, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

One charity shop had lots of games on display. All the usual ones but I noticed a couple more being added, one bookshelf sized with the TSR logo. Did another round of the shop while they were being arranged and found this waiting for me.
Not yet into wargames of the hex and counter variety. Have been tempted by block games but not enought to spend the money or had the chance to play. Now I have the chance. Sounds like a reasonable level introduction?
All complete, 50 blocks, map and rules. Great condition £3 Cornwall Air Ambulance, Truro
We're all in this together, and we love to take a bath!
Another light card game from the same GoodWill - good condition, also $2.
While paying, I saw a guy walk up to pay for a copy of the Knizia Lord of the Rings co-op. I asked him whether he'd played (he hadn't), and that led to a conversation with the guy behind the counter about games. He told me that they get tons of games all the time. I was a bit surprised, because there aren't too many out on the shelves at any given time. He said he inventories them and if they're incomplete he has to throw them into the trash compactor. I explained that some people (like me) might be interested in those games and have the ability to get parts to make them playable. He seemed blown away by thiss and began talking about putting out a bin for incomplete games in the future. Here's to hoping this works to my benefit If nothing else, maybe I'll have lots of games to part out for other thrifters.
I have a problem.. Even though I have several copies already I couldn't pass it up it was New in shrink for 5.99... How do you pass it up??
My Thrifting has turned that corner to buying things I have or don't need..
I did pass up a Nintendo 64 for 14.00 and games like mario 64, donkey kong 64 and zelda @ 4.99 each I know it was a good deal and I'll have nightmares for a week but I have to draw the line somewhere...
WOW -- well, if I'm only gonna find one real item in a week, it may as well be a nice one!
I had this game when I was a kid, and haven't seen one in 25 or 30 years -- I was doubly shocked to get it home for inventory & find that it's 100% complete, and in pretty nice shape. Even the box is good, despite the tape ape's efforts. Unbelievable!
For only $0.69 I had to grab it. The cards look hardly touched. Perhaps someone gave it a try and decided it wasn't for them. I don't think it's for me either but it should help sweeten any trade deals.
After browsing through the games at GW I was about to move on when spotted the familiar figure-on-a-black-circular-base of a D&D Mini on the end cap. I grabbed it to take a closer look. This is the #71 Huge Red Dragon figure that is shown in the picture. I looked around for other figures in bags/boxes/etc. but didn't see anything. I paid $1 for this guy. I knew the dragons can fetch a nice price, but I was more interested in keeping it (I don't have a dragon in my minis collection yet).
