***MONTREAL*** Area Math Trade List
-
This is cut and pasted almost 100% from Lindsey's Seattle Math Trade List, so if you see the city Seattle mentioned anywhere, substitute Montreal.
1. This is a math trade, as described in this thread http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/756051 We’ll be using the “Maximize Trades” algorithm to figure out who is trading with whom, as implemented in Kayvon’s TradeGenie program.
2. Number of game entries: Each person near Montreal can have up to 6 game entries. If the list stalls at any point, I may open it up to more entries. To help get as many entries as possible, message your Montreal area geekbuddies and get them in on this.
3. Deadlines: Opens for entries from people near Montreal: Saturday, February 18, 2006.
Closes to entries: There will be no cap on total number of entries, I'll keep this open for two weeks, therefore it will close on Saturday, March 4th at Midnight, Montreal time.
Want lists due: Tuesday, March 7th at midnight, Montreal Time.
4. Kinds of entries: You may include more than one game in your offer. You may add sweeteners after your initial entry, and for 12 hours after the list closes to new entries. You may not allow a choice of different items to the recipient. (This applies both to your original entry and to any sweeteners.) Feel free to add GeekGold as a sweetener.
5. Duplicates: No duplicate entries are allowed. So you can’t have two entries for “Puerto Rico,” but one entry of Puerto Rico and another of Puerto Rico plus San Juan would be okay.
6. Location: This trade is mostly meant for people who are willing to deliver their games in the Montreal area. I will try to arrange 1 day in March where as many people can meet to exchange games as possible, somewhere downtown most likely (although I a certainly open to other suggestions). If someone cannot attend this group meeting, then it is the responsibility of the person trading the game to arrange a time to deliver the game with the recipient.
7. Shipping costs: The trader can choose to deliver the game(s) in person, or they can choose to mail the games. If they mail the games, they’re responsible for the shipping costs. You are encouraged to discuss convenient meeting locations and times with your trading partners.
8. Formatting your lists: Once the list closes to new entries, I will list all the entries along with an ID word identifying the entry. (The scheme will be something like Itemnumber.Game_Name.) To format your entry, list your own entry’s GameID, followed by the GameID of each game you’re interested in trading for, in your order of preference. I strongly recommend that you copy the GameID from the official list, instead of trying to guess at it! If you make even the tiniest of misspellings, the computer won’t be able to understand your entry. If you’re not interested in a game, don’t list it. So, for example, I might enter
1.Medici 51.Formula De 19.Mexica
This would mean that I (offering Medici, the first item on the list) would be willing to trade it for Formula De (item #51) or Mexica (item #19). If you decide that you don’t want to trade your game for any of the entries, just leave the space after your entry’s ID word blank. That is,
5.Junta
Send your list of wanted trades to me (user ID willythesnitch) by GeekMail. Please entitle your message “math trade yourUserID” (but substitute your real userID, of course). I will attempt to check each of them for any errors, and will send you a confirmation geekmail.
9. Trading: Once the list of trades is posted, I’ll leave a period of at least 12 hours for questions and corrections. Do not propose any trades (or worse, send any games) until the period is over. Once the list of trades is official, I’ll post guidelines (pretty much the usual thing, with trade offers and such) on contacting the other traders.
Good Luck and Happy Trading. Please feel free to message me with any questions, tips comments etc. And by all means, contact your Montreal area geekbuddies and tell them to join in the trading fun.
My written french is terrible, if anyone wants to translate this and sent it to me to add, I'd be forever grateful.

Mystery of the Abbey. Played three times. The player aids (which are printed on glossy paper, and which also act as "folders" to hide your score sheets) are somewhat worn because people write on their score sheets with the player aids *underneath* them.
Otherwise, excellent condition.
Please post abstract games!

If you don't want any games it will look this this (using my medici as an example).
1
that's it.
If you want games, (again using Medici as an example):
1 2 3 25
This would mean I'd be willing to trade Medici for Stephenson's Rocket, Evo, or LOTR.
So the format is
Number of your game, 1 space, number of 1st game you want, number of next game you want etc.
You can have as many or as few games on your wishlist as you would be willing to trade the game for. List the games in order of preference, but the order doesn't matter too much. Generally you don't put your own games on your list, unless you want to trade it for one of your own games (for example, if you listed a game for a friend)
Finally, message the lists to me, don't post them here. Use trade list as the subject line. I'll message everyone whose list I don't have tomorrow night. The lists are due by midnight Tuesday. Therefore the results should be posted by Wednesday.
In summary, send me the lists by PM, format is number of your game, space, number of 1st game, etc.
As always, please PM me with any questions, I'll get back as soon as possible. We don't want any mistakes.
Thanks,
Chad
