This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time

While not piratey it does start with the letter "P" just like a pirate. This is the fifth one a pickup in in as many weeks. All with end caps (black). $3.99 at Savers in Phoenix. Complete and in excellent condition.
w00t! My first Haba. Complete, though there's a huge amount of tape on the box (time to break out the ol' hair dryer). Everything's complete and in good shape. Not sure if I'll hang on to it, but I needed to save it from the rabble. The reason there was so much tape is because it was (unfortunately) bundled with...
Didn't have time to post on the weekend. Found this one at SA for $3. MB edition. I was able to open it up and it looked like a lot of pieces. But what really sold it is a piece of paper inside (from the previous owner?) noting all the forces were there except one small plane for the Americans.
I've done an inventory and all of the pieces are there with the exception of one British sub, one British tank, and (as expected) one American small plane.
I've already contacted someone who can fill in the three missing pieces. So very happy
Went around a local town and one shop had 2 games for £2.50 each, although the lady then said it was a half price day, but I told her to keep the full price as I would've been happy to pay it. Complete and excellent condition, large boxed version by Gigamic, from the Children's Charity shop, Colchester.
These don't sell well at all in the UK, but apparently much better in the USA, so I picked up a complete copy in excellent condition for £3.50 from British Heart Foundation. Off to the transatlantic trade pile.
I found my first Subbuteo today for $2.72 at the Allentown Rd Value Village, but I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what I have. There are three teams - red, green and blue. I have 12 green men on bases, 11 blue men on bases and two extra men, 11 red men on bases, and two extra goalies. I'm also puzzled by other people talking about getting specific teams. How can you tell? My teams look pretty generic, with just the colors being different. My box doesn't look exactly like the one pictured, but I couldn't find it in the versions. It's green but has a different picture of players on the front. In the upper right hand corner is an award with "Extra Ajandek Csapattal" above it, and "Jubileumi Jatek" on a ribbon on either side of it. In the award is "Ferencvarosi Torna Club 1899. In the middle is "Bpest.IX.K."
It's also missing the ball, so we've substituted a LEGO soccer ball for now.
