This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Ligretto Dice $7.00 (50% off $14)at Barnes and Noble
Later, my wife, kids and I met my mom and sister at Barnes and Noble. My sister and mom greet us there with a stack of games, saying, these all were on 50% clearance, so they went through and picked out ones they thought I would want, so that they wouldn't get picked up by someone else before we got there. Good picks, some that I had already, such as Hive, but I did get a couple of their selections, such as Ligretto Dice, which we thought would be a good one for the kids.
I have found the following games a few weeks ago, but I've been travelling for work and holidays since, so haven't had time to add them.
This one was complete except for the black Tyrannosaurus which has been replaced by a much less scary dinosaur. Given my son'd current interest in dinosaurs, buying this was a no-brainer. AU$ 1, Vinnie's.
Finally, I went to the Salvos shop opposite the Vinnie's, not expecting to find anything, as they overprice their games quite a bit. However, what's that lurking under a few jigsaws? A Hans im Glück / Rio Grande box? For AU$ 5? Complete and components nicely bagged? Yes, I think I'll take that home
I had previously left this behind, but went back for it today. Part of one of the drawers is broken, but the board still looks nice and it has most it's pieces. I saw these originally sold for over $100, so I'm wondering if there is a market for selling this one, even given it's condition. $4.99 at Goodwill.
The Andersonville Brown Elephant is a great place for photo equipment or stereo parts, but I've never come across much of interest game-wise there. That changed today with an excellent score, a great condition copy of Diplomacy.
On checking my bag in, I noticed a stack of games in the sorting area with the familiar AH box nestled among them. Behind the counter stuff usually isn't available for sale, but I decided to check anyways. The guy behind the counter confirmed it wasn't priced... "yet." He took it over to a colleague, they both took a look, and smacked the price gun on it three times and handed it back. $1 $1 $1. Sweeet.
One red block appears to have been replaced with a Lego brick at some point, several of the sheets have been used, but it's otherwise in amazing shape.
I picked up this one in amazing condition, fully complete and nice box too. I paid a little bit extra as I really wanted this one. We had this as kids and played it a ton, so did my kids, and the neice and nephew. $39.95 at a book store in Arvada. (I was told it was from the owners personal collection). Can't wait to build and stab the skeletons.
1980 Walt Disney Donald Duck Scrambled Eggs game for kids. $1.91 at Unique. Should be a great one to give to the granddaughter. Will load it into the data base later after I take some pictures. Looks complete, 1 box corner damaged, but looks like fun for little kids.
