This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid, and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift-store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time
Our GeekGuild The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Do mind the stacks of prized games. Don't mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Pitchcar is still on my wish list, but this seems like a pretty good similar game. Unfortunatly seems to be missing the Archway and the traffic cones. I'll have to look at the spare parts listings. $2.50
I picked up a small tub of plastic "crystals" about inch across; these will be great for prototyping. I also got 18 space ships in about 6 different shapes. It was $11 for all of it, a little pricey IMHO, but this thrift (Clock Tower) supports families in need so I didn't mind.
It wasn't this but Clue Suspects which is a solo game made by Winning Moves. $3 also at Clocktoer, with a cool house where you put clear pawns that have the silhouettes of the suspects. It's a logic puzzle, but looks to be pretty clever. I like Clue, so when no one will play a game with me, this can be an option.
Unfortunately, I have forgotten what you classify things as when they are not a game, but more like a puzzle.
Edit: Changed to properly represent what I got. And to al;so note, thijs was still sealed with the tape put on by the factory!
