CaliforniaI am Boogie, the world's cutest dog.
This math trade is open for posting items you want to trade until Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at 11:59 pm.
You will have 72 hours from that time to submit your want list. Want list submissions close Saturday, August 25 at 11:59 p.m.
We will meet to exchange games at 10 am SHARP on Saturday, September 1, 2012 by the pool. The con is being held at 2700 Mission College Blvd in Santa Clara, CA.
You are free to arrange a different time at your discretion with your trading partners, but I will not be able to hold games, etc, if you or your trade partner cannot make it at the appointed time.
Important rules to read
1 Presence at Pacificon is a requirement for participation in this math trade. However, you may arrange to have a proxy on hand to trade your games for you.
2 You do not have to be registered for Pacificon to participate in this math trade, as long as you follow Rule #1.
3 Any item, even non-gaming items, are allowed and even encouraged. The only exception is cash.
4 You must describe your game as accurately as possible, and list specifics like edition, condition, completeness etc. It might also help your item trade if you give it a short blurb or promotion! Remember: the more info you provide (to a certain point anyway), the more likely your item will trade.
5 You should subscribe to your items so that you can answer questions from interested traders. This will increase the chance that your item will trade. The OLWLG also brings to your attention items with unanswered comments.
Some instructions since you might be new to this
1 Add items you want to trade to this list. If you're adding a multiple-game item, please use the [GAMEID] tags to list additional games (e.g. Puerto Rico instead of Puerto Rico). You can do this by pulling down the drop-down box called "Insert Geek Link" above where you type in the message box, and select "Board Game".
2 If you're adding a non-game item, add the item as the board game titled "Outside the Scope of BGG". Then put this anywhere in your item listing:
+altname+ 5 new DVD's! -altname- (replace 5 new DVD's with whatever describes your item).
3 Do NOT delete items as it will break the system. Instead, just edit the item and strike out what you wrote for it, and you can always submit a blank want list for games you no longer want to trade.
4 Sign up for the math trade Online Want List Generator (OLWLG) http://bgg.activityclub.org/olwlg/.
You should be able to see this math trade listed there. Use the OLWLG tool to add items to your want list and keep track of what has been added. Note that you do not need to rank the games on your OLWLG want list; you just have to add the items you want. At the end of the item submission period (and before the want-list submission deadline), you will have to use OLWLG to submit your want list.
5 For any further questions, don't hesitate to head to the discussion thread. You can also send me a geekmail. I have also posted the items I've putting up for trade, which you can use as examples.
