This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid, and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift-store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Today, I sold the Pirates ships for 10x what I paid. I really hope to find it again, that looked like a lot of fun! Amazingly, on the way home, I came across this Star Wars version with 25 ships, 50 something cards, enough of the mini dice to make it playable and the instructions all inside this 30th anniv. collector's tin and in very nice condition for 2.99 at GW. I'm happy with the trade-off. Hope to get more of this!
GW $2.99. Box is in great shape but it is missing a lot.
No Player Tokens or Cheese tokens, no dice, no chips and missing one pencil. Also missing 3 The Market cards.
Alas...I was in a hurry and didn't have time to check that thoroughly. The neat thing about this was that all the money was stacked neatly at the bottom of the box as if it had been laid out in a monopoly sorter. Must not have been on the shelf long otherwise some kid would have wrecked it.
Here's kind of a weird one... Never heard of this game before this weekend. I found the Auf die Palme, the German version of this, on Sunday ( listed here ) and discovered that the rules in English aren't posted on the Geek, and Immortal Eyes doesn't seem to list any support links on their website (or this game at all). I figured I'd have to post asking for the rules, and then I found the Immortal Eyes version, missing one card but including the rules, today at ARC. Since it's incomplete, they let me have it for half off the marked $2.99
Avalon Hill bookcase edition. a quick count at the register came up 1 short on the little plastic bits, but I bet I just miscounted. Except possibly that, complete and looks unplayed - the conference maps are still bound together in a pad. 2.99, ARC
Edit to note I recounted and it's all there. Also corrected the price, I didn't get it for quite as cheap as 1.99
I've passed up on several copies of this in the past couple of months, either for them being obviously incomplete, or being in a hurry and them being priced far to high to grab without a count. This one was cheap and has the punched cardboard sheets still in the bottom. Complete, probably unplayed (the note pad doesn't appear to have any pages removed)
2.99 at ARC.
A side note, this and the Diplomacy are both in fairly nice boxes, and the thrift store only put one neat wrap of tape that only goes about 3/4 of the way around the box.
$20 for a promotional copy which had both the starter sets in one box. Has a fold out cardboard board. Did all the copies have a cardboard board? I seem to remember reading that the starter sets came with cheap card stock board. I could be wrong. Can anyone confirm?
In what I would call good condition. I already have a complete / excellent condition copy of this game. I bought it for parts since it looked mostly there... and I liked the game as a kid so there is value to me in owning a parts copy to help others with it.
This has all the cards and is only missing 1 wrench. Not bad! Instructions are pretty tattered and the card tray inside was a broken one from Borne Miles. I'll be putting in on the parts list.
