A near-perfect math game for second-graders and their parents, but I'm not sure how much appeal it'd have beyond that niche. Lots of adding up and subtracting down, a bit of strategy, and a potentially heavy dose of memory.
I just love the components in this one... the little "suitcases" add a lot of flavour. It's really just a re-working of the Contraband/Smuggle game, but I still can't believe that this one hasn't been picked up by an English language publisher.
Too expensive, overproduced, won't be a big seller. All of the online retailers that sell imports will carry this one (gamesurplus, boulder, funagain).
Jay told me he won't carry it, soooo...it follows in the footsteps of another "Big Box" Kosmos title from last year "Ubongo"
I'm glad this got a "recommended" nod. It's not a game that should be shortlisted really (although at least one of the shortlist shouldn't have been either!) but it really deserves a wider audience.
I can vouch for this one. Excellent 2-player game... it would be the best game in the Kosmos 2-player line, if it was being published by Kosmos instead of Queen.
Small, but really great game!! One of the best 2 players games... My surprise for 2005, fun game! This game has some really interesting mechanics and I've enjoyed most every card game of it that I've played along with St.Petersburg and Citadels. I love this game!!!
