Taking part is easy:

1) Add the game of the miniature you painted as an item to the list.

2) Add the picture of your painted miniature in the comment section for that game.

(use the format [imageid=xxxxxmedium] where xxxxx is the id of the picture)

That way people will be able to better judge your work. Medium should be sufficient please do not use large.

Rules:

1) The image you submit must have been uploaded during October 2012. Gallery images are ok but submitted images are preferred, as they've gone through the geek mod process it guarantees the picture quality and it's also easier to check the submission date. The contest will end on November 30th.

2) You are the artist. Please do not submit miniatures painted by someone else.

3) One entry per person. You may, however, use up to two pictures of your entry to the front and back of the miniature.

4) The winner will be the picture with the most thumbs. You can thumb as many as you like.

5) If you can; include the make of the mini, scale and what paints you used in your entry.

Prizes:

Any tips received will awarded as prizes as follows:

1st place: 50%
2nd place: 37.5%
3rd place: 12.5%

So if the tip total comes to 40 geekgold 1st will get 20, 2nd 15 and 3rd 5 etc.

Geekgold is also given for honourable mentions so even if you don't feel confident about winning you might still get a prize.

I'll round down tips and put the remainder towards future prizes.

Judging at the end of the month and winners will appear in the next months list.

1st place will now also receive an exclusive microbadge! mb

Please give this geeklist a thumb to help get it to the front page. The more contestants the better!

And don't forget to click on the images you like and give the actual images thumbs up as well!

Tying in nicely with Halloween, this submission is the first miniature I've painted in over a year.
This was a Zombie from my friend's undead army, I said I'd paint it for him....21 years ago.

Look Alex it's finished!

...So anyway, I used weathering powders for the first time on this cheeky chap. It's worked pretty well
for the rust effects & it's quite fun to use. Usual mix of Foundry & GW paints.
The grass effects are Silflor. Gloss varnish + Dullcoat to finish.

Cheers.

Made from a 28mm Mantic zombie. Bases from West Wind, paints from Vallejo and Citadel (possibly also some Army Painter in there).

I painted up the original Collette as well as her Avatar models on commission. They were a pain to assemble, but like most Wyrd miniatures they painted up great!

Also, I want to shill for the Jack Vasel auction. I have donated my painting abilities to the auction each year, but this year I have pledged to double my efforts in honor of my daughter Kimberly. The Jack Vasel Foundation helped my family through that rough patch of our lives. My auctions are at the top of page 4 if anyone wants to bid or offer up their ability as well.

I picked up this Bones mini to try it out in advance of the giant Reaper order I purchased. I was really pleased with the way the material took the paint. It made me look forward to the eventual delivery even more. At least I know what I will be painting next year.

I painted this guy up with a mix of Vallejo and GW paints. The shirt graphic is a decal that I made myself. I'm hoping to improve upon my one miniature per month painting rate or this game will take a while.

Here are some of the figures I've painted up for my Song of Blades and Heroes warband:

All of these were painted using Army Painter paints, except for the bases which were painted with Folk Art paints.

The figures are from Splintered Light miniatures - their 20mm Woodland Warriors range.
