This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Thrift Store/Bargain Finds List Wayback Machine: The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly lists through time. He is also adding stats and interesting tidbits for us thrifty geeks. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time (with links to all previous lists)
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Hakfoo I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Belial, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

... but luckily our planned lunch at Chipotle was fast and close-by, and then we returned. Everything I remembered leaving here was still on the shelves, so I put everything remotely interesting in a cart and headed off to the side to think and do research. The only one I added to my own stash at this point was Caribbean, for $1.99
I called him, got him live, and read him the titles and prices, so he could look them up if necessary and tell me what he wanted. Turned out he wanted most of them! (That’s what happens when you have a game shed!) So the next 14, I got for him…
$3.99, Value Village, for lostdog. This is a great game, I already have a copy. I opened it up and did not detect any mold.
(I've now entered the part of my list where I can't read my chicken-scratch notes ... there was one more game for lostdog.... looks like it starts with a C... let's see if I can figure out what it is...)
Psychology is a funny thing. Almost any of these that I bought for lostdog, if I had found just that item by itself in a store, I would have got it for myself. But bringing home 9 new ones for me, on top of all my other unplayed-so-far games, was plenty enough. I was glad to have another geek around to have a reason not to leave them.
So after this, there wasn’t much left on the shelf from this donation— Organized Crime, Maxi Bour$e, Intern. And no more has come out in the days since. So all in one glorious hobby game dump, 9 for me, 14 for lostdog, about 6 for the reseller guy, and 3 for the other woman, plus a few left on the shelves. Many thanks to the donor, I hope it isn't a sad story on that side.
After that massive PNW haul, we return you to your regular thrift finds.
