Games as ACTUAL art

So I keep seeing examples of people actually framing games or putting them up on the walls as real decorations. I've seen lots of people who have mentioned how pretty different boards are and that they are works of art but I wanted to find actual examples of art up on walls. These are what I found after about 40 minutes of searching the Geek. Its not much but I hope others would be willing to add what they know. I would love to steal ideas from people for my own house ;)

(I would love someone to post a pic of something like a framed set of Carc tiles that I've heard people say that they have)

This one really intersted me. I thought this was a great example of what I wanted. I showed my wife and her first comment was "Were the heck do you think you'ed be putting that?" ah well maybe in the future. I just love the way he made it work with the 3D pieces. I imagine this costed a pretty decent amount to have mounted but with lots of extra copies of the orginal A&A floating around now it wouldn't be hard to get one made up.

This wall show real love of the game of Risk. Its just so cool that it makes up for it being Risk. So many versions and so well laid out. It just blows me away that someone would/could do this.

What blows me away is the fact that all of them are matted and framed! I'd rather see floor to ceiling bookshelves loaded with games than this.

If I want to see that I can go to the game store. Not very artistic to me, but I don't get post modernism anyway.

I like the simplicty of this one. The guy like the board so he put it in a frame on the wall. While I don't think I would put up something like this, I would perfer something with a little more action going on: pieces, dice, whatever something that actually give you a feel for the spirit of the game. Thats a bit odd sounding but I like.

Hey cool, that's my photo :). I agree, that at first glance, this isn't a very action-oriented photo, but there is so much stuff on this map, I just thought it was cool to look at. It really compliments the game room..... after getting the PoG deluxe map, I thought this was a good way to use the thin paper map that came with the game

Risk again. Same user as before, just thought I'ed break it up with Paths of Glory, no one wants to see Risk three time in a row. I do like how this one shows the change in something so simple as the cards over the years. I don't think most people would have thought about the cards, the board or the pieces maybe but the cards? Very creative and very informative. Great presentation as well. So cool.... even if it is risk ;)

This game comes to mind. There are a number of similar games published by Theta games (cubicado, headquarter, etc) also fit the bill.

Nothing says art like a a slew of hexagons.

How in the world do you actually play on that map? who has a table big enough for it? I mean I guess you could put magnets on the back of the pieces and hang the thing on a metal wall, but dang! I love hex based war games but thats way to much for me.

this game comes to mind. The game is played on actual art, well a likeness of the original.

Cathedral was first introduced to me as a game... AND a centerpiece.

It makes quite the centerpiece.

And because of that, many people who come over want to talk about it and decide, hey, I'll try this game.
