This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Thrift Store/Bargain Finds List Wayback Machine: The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly lists through time. He is also adding stats and interesting tidbits for us thrifty geeks. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time (with links to all previous lists)
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Hakfoo I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Belial, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

Because the President's Day sale at the Silverdale GW had the store opening an hour early, my hubby up and out early today! He was on a mission to pick up something he saw on Saturday for 40% off. So while he was there he had to check out the board games for me.
The offerings were pretty inauspicious. He grabbed a copy of this that we had passed on multiple times when it was marked at $3.99, but today the price was finally right.
$.99 @ GW
Complete and in great well-cared for (perhaps unused) condition. Even had 100 chips, 6 more than listed.
So before he could leave the toy aisle I asked him to look one more time and he spotted this nondescript box and dragged it out.
Well, well a classic 3M Bookcase Game in the sleeve. He took a peek inside and it looked pristine. It was also on sale for 40% off.
$1.79 @ GW
So close to complete. Missing one D6. Otherwise I am sure it was never even played, everything it crisp and minty fresh including the stick of chalk. There is scuffing on the top and bottom of the outer sleeve, but that is to be expected since it's 49 years old.
Found this nice little game sitting under a stack of puzzles. All the pieces are accounted for and I couldn't pass it up for $1. All I need to find now is Blokus 3D and I will have thrifted all of the Blokus family.
Then I found this on the top shelf. My brother likes star wars and stratego so this should go over well. Unfortunately, it is missing the flag for the grey side. Other than that, complete and in good shape. $3
Yep more Scrabble to be stored away until the market turns (no luck this week as it is still holding at $7. Found three this week priced at $1.50 to $1.99 at various locations through out the Valley of the Sun!
As someone once said, "I can't quit you" about this one. If I am patient, I might be able to pull $30.00 out of this one. I was able to replace a few missing arrow clips from a parts copy so this one is now complete. $1.99 at GW in Surprise.
You know I have never actually come across a copy that still had its insert until I picked this one up. I mean it makes sense and its not like its that rare and mythical outsert from Battleball. This one is 100% complete. $3.99 at Other Mothers in Phoenix.
This is the first time I have ever scene this one. Its missing just the Wizard pawn, but I think I might have a Gandolf or two around to replace it with. Significant box damage. $1.99 at GW in Surprise.
As I have mentioned before, Euros are pretty rare in the Valley so when I see one, even if I already have a copy of this one, I must pick it up (its a thrifter law). This one comes with the River expansion and is complete. $2.25 at Savers in Peoria.
