I know there's a lot of these kinds of lists, but during a recent podcast (not a game podcast) I promised I would have my wife come up with her top 10 games. So this list is mostly for our podcast audience (all 15 of them). These are in no particular order.

You can see that most of these are 2 player and party type games.

She picked a top 8, but couldn't narrow down the remaining contenders. So I picked one gamer's game to give her some street cred, and one kid's game to reflect the majority of the gaming she does.

Others that didn't make the cut: Bermuda TriangleBermuda Triangle, Spy WebSpy Web, Can't StopCan't Stop, ElfenlandElfenland, and Midnight PartyMidnight Party.

I made a homemade version of this before Kahuna existed and we played the dickens out of it. It hasn't hit the table in a while, but now that I have this list, I can fix that.

Have had this since back in the Game Cabinet days. We have played with a number of 2-player variants, as well as with the full map to 10 points.

This thrift store find has been a major hit with my wife, her family, and my family. It did flop big time once, but that's another story.

As Mare mentioned in the podcast, this does take the right group--a little punchy, but not too tired. When we play this game with the perfect group, we laugh all evening.

You may want to look into Wise and Otherwise. It has a similar theme, and I think fits much better into a varied group.

It looks fun. I'll put it on the Christmas list. Thanks.

This one would probably be her top 1 or 2. Usually played as a 2 player, but sometimes with her mom too.

As a girl USA is way more fun. But yeah big hit :)

Actually, I'd probably say as an AMERICAN girl USA is more fun, but I'm pretty certain that my fiancée would dig Europe over the rest...probably Africa next.

Got this one for Christmas this year (from myself). It's been a while since she's taken a shine to a new game (as this list will contest). But this one was a hit. She's even requested it since.
7. Board Game: Lost Cities [Average Rating:7.25 Overall Rank:121]

I have the original and the expansion and the pirate expansion that I took the bean cards from and pitched the rest. I know there's rules for what beans to take out for what number of players. But we generally use them all and go through the deck three times for a long game, twice for a short one.
9. Board Game: Tikal [Average Rating:7.44 Overall Rank:74]

Criminy, I didn't even know she liked this game. This one will be coming off the shelf more often.

Great kid's cooperative game. This one is fun. As players race to break the safe, the timer beeps off the minutes, beeping faster as time gets closer to running out. This makes the kids tense and excited. One night just as we lost and the timer did its alarm sound, the power went out. Made our kids paranoid about the game for weeks.
