Ok, I know it seems that gamers are always on this website during the working hours of the day (not to mention into the wee hours of the night) but I assume most of us have real jobs/careers!....don't we? I'm interested to see what kind of mix we have out there in.

1) Select a game that describes what you do for work(could also be a shameless plug for your company) , and then

2) also write in the description what your favorite games are..this way we can see if there are similarities or differences between what people do for work and what types of games they favor...maybe we'll discover that doctors hate operation, or that pilots love wings of war...have fun!

I'm the owner/operator of this website. Most of my tasks revolve around programming the site - fixing bugs and adding new features. I also run BGG.CON - the premiere gaming convention for BoardGameGeek.

I previously was a video game developer - Sin, Heavy Metal FAKK2, and Duke Nukem Forever. I've also worked in the computer graphics chip business (3Dfx) and long ago was an engineer for BNR/Nortel.

Or, if you're having just one of those days... "Most of my tasks revolve around programming the site - fixing features and adding new bugs." :)

Ah, so the BoardGameGeek website is the reason why the new Duke Nukem game is taking so long to come out...

I've worked on audio software for several years -- mostly the stuff the RIAA will sue you for using in a way they find unacceptable. My guess is most of you have something I've written on your machine....

Favorite game: Diplomacy.

I'm a psychiatric nurse.

Wandering round killing things in games is certainly better than doing the same to people at work!

I write kids' books. I've never played Lunch Money but the theme seemed to fit with some of the stuff that happens in my books.

Most played games at the minute are Mr Jack, Downfall of Pompeii, Gloria Mundi and Citadels.

I'm an archaeologist...almost! I'll receive my masters degree in June.
I'm specialising in Western-Europe, so I can get a job as an urban archaeologist.

Games that I like : Abstracts (Zèrtz & Clans are my favourites), Descent (with expansions), Arkham Horror & Battlelore. I also like Power Grid, Citadels and Clue (I know...).
I expect that Tigris & Euphrates will be my all time favourite one day, but I still don't 'get' it entirely...

I print t-shirts. :) I received my college degree in Linguistics with a minor in business, but it is much more fun working for yourself and creating fun t-shirts for people to wear.

A manage corporate Web sites for a utility company (maybe I should have selected Power Grid).

I prefer medium and lighter games and my favorite game theme is espionage... wish there were more good ones. I have yet to play Top Secret Spies, but I'm hoping to get a chance sometime soon. :)
