This list details the games featured on the "Print and Play" podcast.

Games are rated in the following way.

Terrible trash : A waste of paper, ink, glue, tape and time.

Poor : Less than your average game. Perhaps, game too long for content. May have no longevity, meaning, two plays and your done with it.

Average : Amusing, keeps your interest, a game you would play if someone offered.

Good meeple : A game you would try to push to play. It's Fun!

Excellent : It's Excellent, your favourite game, no better than that, it's double excellent with a cherrie on top.

One of my absolute favorite P-n-P games. (nicely done review, too!)

We always play the campaign game, as it would be over too quickly otherwise. Playing only one dogfight could also be quite an unfair game if one side gets an ace while the other gets the rookie. The tokens for showing who is the attacker is a good idea. I might have to do something like that. I was thinking about buying some of the Wings of War: Miniatures planes - which would do the job perfectly!

Orkmondo rates poor.

Placement depends on die rolls. Keep rolling the same numbers and the game drags and drags.

Late in the game, when the board is really piling up, keep rolling numbers you cannot place on, and the game drags on and on.

Compared to this, Miskatonic rates average.

Garfield took inspirations from several games. Although I've not heard of this as being one of them, I could see it. Cosmic Encounter is more often listed as having a strong influence...

Of course, Kings & Things is the professionally produced version of this game: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/58

And, if player elimination and long game length are not negative issues for you, (they aren't always for me), than this game is quite good and possibly better than Kings & Things.

I personally don't think of copies of commercially produced games count as "print and play". I think of PnP of games as being produced specifically to be printed at home.

Still, I'm tempted to give it a go.

I certainly wouldn't Samuel. For one, IF it gets reprinted, the theme will be changed (see http://www.boardgamenews.com/index.php/boardgamenews/comment...). Secondly they're some awesome files on BGG of updated modern looking Dune boards and cards and pieces that you can use to make your own game. I'm going to make my own using those.

Technically, it's not a "copy." The homebrew versions on the Geek all use original artwork.

There might be issues with trademark, though. Since Dune is a registered mark for someone - the Herbert estate maybe.

I still think it's a copy even if original artwork is being used. The game mechanics haven't changed in the created versions. Nor has the theme, the board design, or the powers of the races. Only artwork has changed.

Besides, when Fantasy flight got the rights for the reprint, they got everything except the Dune theme. I doubt they would have paid whatever they did if it wasn't still considered "a copy".

I would do all the things I have ever dreamed of doing. I would love to become a professional whistler.I'm pretty amazing at it now, but I wanna get, like, even better. Make my living out of it.

Island od D 2 is a solo fantasy adventure game.

Rated - Average

Comment - Very good, a tough game. Would have rated "Good" but if I ever complete the mission I think I'll lose the will to play again. That said I'm going to keep trying until I do complete it!!!

Excellent - Simple, yet engaging. Hand management, inventory management, some tactic, some luck. After completing it, I liked it so much that I've created my own (much bigger) adventure using the same rules (and I've later adpated it to 2-player cooperative play adding a "small expansion").
The best Print & Play game I've tried so far.

It has always been my intention. However, I must translate them into English (I've done them in Italian, since they were originally intended just for me and my friends). Unfortunately it is a "low priority" project and thus proceed slowly. But one day it'll be there.

Hello!

I just started listening to the podcast -- nice work! A few times, you've mentioned something about fold-up figures, or something like that. What is the URL for that site?
