Alright you miniature gamers out there... you know the truth.

The size counts just as much as what you do with it.

Now, it's time to lay it all down on the table: SHOW US YOUR ARMIES!

Provide the game name, a photo of your army/fleet, and if applicable, the names or classifications of the figures. Extra love for those of you who put in the points values for the units!

I'll kick it off!

Russians all the way. On the left there's my Shtraf Company (Russian Penal Company).

This is just the Militia army and the last picture is a normal deployment (the table is almost too short for the deployment of this army), but overall, with all options added and tanks and artillery, etc, I have over 10.000 points of Russians

This is a picture of the main elements of my Clowns chapter of marines.

I don't have the army list anymore since it's been over ten years since I played it and I don't even have the army books anymore... soblue

Anyway, here's some description of the idea for the chapter:

This was the first terminator... actually the first marine I ever painted with the CLOWN scheme.
I did it on a lark. I had been painting very random terminators up to this point. Absolutely none of them matched any of the others. I was just painting them to paint them.

With this one something rang a bell in my head. I was heavy into the Harlequins at the time and thought how bad ass would it be if there was a travelling space circus that was actually a chapter of marines?

They could use the cover of the circus to infiltrate planets and if they found Heresy (which they normally would) they would come put the pain on.

Thusly, the Clowns were born in my head....

Each ten man squad has two colors either in hair or on helmets. The seargent has both as stripes in his otherwise white hair to denote he controls both.

Each type of squad has a very detailed and distinct coloration based on the magenta / blue / black / bone theme.

For example I am currently working on a heavy support squad. The alteration of blue and magenta are the same (left to right) as the standard squad. However, they do not use a solid color on armor. Instead they have a stripe of the color against a black field. If you will notice the assault squad uses a solid color with no black field that is directly opposite that of the standard squad.

As I have developed the lore of this chapter I have determined that each member should have a funny "quip" on the shoulder opposite that of the chapter badge: the white clown face. These little bits of funny are things I personally think are humorous and are very often quotes from geeky movies or in-jokes amongst my friends.

Terminator armor is much more relaxed. As each member deemed worthy enough to don a suit is a bad-ass he / she (one of the few chapters that allows females... don't ask don't tell!) is totally at liberty to paint their suits as they wish. However, most adhere to the rule of bone for piping, and a fade from blue to black and back to magenta. Almost all have blue masks.

Other accents are almost universal such as: gunmetal for bottom of boots, bone for piping, matte aluminum for conduit connections (this is a technical matter... paint tends to chip and interfere with physical connections while colors tend to trap heat in vacuum space around star systems thusly overheating vital electronics... but you knew that since you're as geeky as me...) and gold Imperial Eagle with silver "flight" feathers on the chest since it's the Imperial Eagle... You don't mess with that!

As a member reaches seargent they all paint their face white with near permanant makeup. If anyone reaches Captain they go through a skin bleaching and makeup-tattooing process that permanantly fixes their faces as clowns.
Nobody knows exactly what the "Magicians" (librarians) faces look like.....

Every member of the chapter has a (what I consider to be) funny quote on their shoulder pads. The best example of this is my assault squad. Otherwise known as "Ash's Warriors" they all have quotes from the Evil Dead series of movies.

Other random images mostly of Terminators because I played way more Space Hulk than WH40K and I haven't taken the time to take pics of each soldier's pads.

Here is a picture of part of one of my DBM armies. Mine is the one on the right. 400 points of Libyans, figure wise it is probably about 120 foot archers, 120 warband, 110 light javelinmen, 24 swordsmen and 3 chariots.

I will see if I can get round to taking photos of each of my main armies and post them.
