For the purposes of this list, a tabletop miniatures game is one that is (intended to be) played with miniature models, not counters or abstract "meeples", and that regulates distances by measurement, without any form of grid (hex etc) or area or point movement.
Please add games to make this list as complete as possible. However, no expansions please, nor multiple editions of the same game.
(Games that are playable with or without a grid are OK, but please add a note about this when submitting a game to the list or I may delete it as a grid-only game added mistakenly.)

Game usually played on a hex map, but the Rules Cyclopedia also presents rules to play the game as a pure miniature game, using the hex-counts in movements/range as inches, and each 1/6 turn costing one movement point.
There where also rules for how LOS and different scenery affected what part of the mech could be hit, IIRC.
So this variant qualifies as a proper miniature game.

"Warband" game about gang warfare in the WH40k universe. The rules are basically taken from (older editions of) WH40k, but adds detail and a campaign system where gangers can increase in skill and power.

Warband-level spinoff of Warhammer. Building on the basic warhammer mechanics, Mordheim adds rules appropriate for small skirmishes and a campaign and experience system.

My only 10-rated miniatures game. Mechanically minimalistic (by the standards of miniatures games only!) it nonetheless has a lot of depth.

Perhaps the most famous of all tabletop miniatures games. Also my first commercial miniatures game.

Warhammer at sea. Widely seen as among GW's best efforts, it sadly seems they have no intention of ever supporting it again, even as a specialist game.

This is quite popular, apparently, but I've never met anyone playing it. (Edit: I have now.)
Anyway, it's a company level WWII game written for 15mm models, and comes with its own dedicated miniatures range.

Full thrust is one of the preferred fleet level games. One player can usually handle a handful of ships (squadron).

Space battles in the universe of WH40k. Some good ideas and a superabundance of dice.

Steampunk/horror skirmish game. Uses cards instead of dice, adding an element of hand management.

Warhammer goes 10mm. Unlike its bigger brother, it places a lot of emphasis on command-and-control. Basically, a unit only moves if a commander passes an order test to move it, but as long as he keeps passing the test a commander can move a unit repeatedly.

Don't think this has a rating yet, but it is a miniautre table top game as per the perameters of the list so it should probably be included. It is a fun game, but it is complex and there are some translation issues.

Rackham. I hear recent editions are better translated than the one I read. Anyway it's a fantasy skirmish game.

This is a generic fast-play fantasy skirmish game. I'd like to try it someday. (Edit: Have now; see comment below.)

Adeptus Titanicus' little brother... the two games could combine, and made for some great epic-sized battles when used in conjunction.

One of the standards for ACW gaming. One stand is 150-200 men. In my opinion, it works best for medium sized battles. For the big battles, you need lots of stands, lots of players, lots of time, and a really big table.

Generic SF system. Focuses on infantry, meant for forces from a few squads up to a company in size.
The sister game Dirtside II handles bigger encounters with an emphasis on vehicles.

Visuals based on the Jackson movies.
(This entry replaces The Lord of the Rings: Strategy Battle Game, since that version is as yet unranked. Edit: Well, that version's got ranked too now, but I'm keeping this as it's got more ratings. Rule differences are, AFAIK, minimal.)
