Finnish Players' Picks 2007

Another year, another round of voting. The Finnish Players' Picks highlights the best games of the year. Every game is eligible, even the old ones, as long as people vote for games they have actually played during the year. Each voter gets seven votes and must vote for at least five games. 29 votes. More than doubled the votes from last year. The Finnish edition won the Finnish Game of the Year award recently. Well done, but I think Thurn und Taxis will drop a bit next year. |

26 votes. Last year's number one couldn't hold the throne. While people like the game, it doesn't have the staying power of Puerto Rico - new games have come to take over. |

18 votes. Carcassonne was the winner few years ago, but has lost votes a lot. The expansions have eaten some, and people are moving on to new games. Also, I think we've had more serious gamers and less casual gamers voting for the last two years. |

17 votes. I'm rather surprised Alhambra got a bit of a boost in the voting. I suppose the good availability and the Game of the Year award it got two years ago still help it. |

17 votes. The biggest surprise! Princes of Florence has received some votes each year, but this year it got a huge boost. The last time the game was this popular was four years ago. I wonder why... |
