Please note - I have removed all old placeholders from this list. Please only use this list to record the receipt of games actually received from your Santa.

Only use placeholders to let your Santa know you received your package but are waiting to open it. When you actually open the package, please update the entry with the game(s) you received and express your reaction for your Santa. Please let me know if you experience any problems with this via GeekMail. Sorry for any confusion...now on to the list:

Since we just got our Secret Santa Targets assigned --

Last year's episode of "Look what my Secret Santa sent me..." was well received, so I am creating the same list again for 2007.

I originally posted this as a way to let my Santa know when I receive my gift without him/her worrying about letting me know who (s)he is. Use this as a central area to record what our Secret Santas sent us. If you plan on using this list, you may want to make a note on your profile so your Secret Santa knows to look on the list for your receipt and reaction.

That way your Secret Santa can look to see if you received your gift and you can post any comments you may have about the gift here and you can reply without the identity of your Secret Santa ever having to be divulged!

If your Santa sends you more than one item, just list them all in one listing unless you think it makes more sense to list them separately. Remember to include any comments you want your Secret Santa to know!

I don't know about anyone else, but I generally obsess about whether a package has arrived at it's intended destination. I drive my wife crazy with checking tracking numbers constantly! So it will be nice to see when those gifts are actually received by the giftee (or are they just sitting unclaimed on the neighbor's porch?)

(I am just using a generic Christmas first item as a placeholder for mine until my gift arrives, at which time I will update it with the real gift). In case you were wondering - yes, I do have a probably unfounded fondness for this holiday.

Now for the big question - do you open the gift or allow it to taunt you from under the tree until your local Christmas/Holiday gift opening?

I just got a package today that was unexpected; it had to be from Santa!
Santa had told me that it was going to be a bit late, but I'm OK with that. But thanks for letting me know -- it's not knowing that's the hard part.

This is one that I've played a couple times, and have wanted for my own collection, and now I have it, to play, and to study for any potential trips to London.

And that's not all! Also included was Vexation. Transamerica is very popular with our lunchtime group, and I'm really looking forward to see how Vexation stirs things up.

Thanks, Santa! thumbsup

Yeah, my Secret Santa finally overcame all the obstacles in getting this package to the Netherlands! And it was worth the wait!

I received Traders of Genoa, a game I really enjoy but hadn't gotten round to buying it myself. Great that I have my own copy now. Also a very generous gift considering the current exchange rates. Thanks Richard, eh I mean Secret Santa!

My secret Santa decided to not only give the gift at the very top of my list, he also decided to go against all odds, and give me a game out of stock in most places..

Maybe that's why it took so long to arrive at my doorstep, but who cares? It's here now, and just in time for a boardgame event next Sunday.

Thank you Santa, and merry Christmas!

Through no fault of my Secret Santa, my gift took forever to get to me (i.e., it was promptly delivered to Laredo, and I didn't have the chance to go pick it up until recently). I finally got it a couple of weeks ago and, to add insult to injury, forgot to write it here.

When I saw it, I started to question whether I'd like it or not. (And I know that I didn't give you a lot of room to manuever with my wishlist... mea culpa too).

Now, here is the cool part: I've already gotten to play it twice (4 player and 5 player) and it's one of the funnest games we could ever have gotten. The mechanics absolutely clicked with my group, so both games have been a raucous time (and we look forward to getting a lot of mileage out of it).

In short: I was a bad, bad recipient this year, and you still got me une of the best games I have. Santa, you rock.

Christmas in April!

After some issues with shipping a packaged arrived that I wasn't expecting. I was totally stoked to see it was from my Secret Santa. I had time to open it up and punch it and now it sits on the counter calling to be played.

Thanks Secret Santa!

I know it's been a while, but I was cleaning up, found the old packing slip from my Secret Santa gift and realized that I had never posted a thank you here on BGG. Not only did my Secret Santa get me games that were on my wish list and good for my gaming group, but I was given 5 games in total. I was very overwhelmed and since the games arrived around Thanksgiving (and I opened the package thinking it was something I ordered) I was able to pass some additional generosity onto my Secret Santa target.

Besides Winner's Circle my Secret Santa also got me:

I was also sent some cryptic and anonymous geek messages:

Secret Santa wrote:
Subject: Elves got a little confused...

Dear Christopher,
I must apologize about the package which is coming your way. First of all, it should have been added to packages in the 'Sled' pile rather than 'Out-going Bills and Coorespondences' pile. For this reason you are likely to it receive via postal carrier rather than the personal (and more appropriately timed) service I like to provide. Also, as the postal service does not work on the night of the 24th of December they will likely deliver it to you much earlier than this.

Usually I don't like to reveal purely internal issues, but as this isn't his first mistake this season I feel less guilty about pointing the finger at Edgar. This is Edgar's first season as Chief Delivery Coordinator Elf and let me tell you it is going to be his last. In addition to shipping you your present early he also included the present for Ross Christopher, the young man who lives at your address, in the same box!!! I hope that they are individually wrapped and labelled so that this is no confusion as to who should get what when they arrive. I am afraid this is going to be just a jumble as there is no record in the Wrapping and Bowing department of any present going to you or Mr. Christopher coming across their workbenches - and as I'm sure you are aware Chelsea has been Chief Bower for over 250 years and runs a tight shop so I trust her records.

Anyway, I would like to apologize again for the organization issues at our end this year. I hope this is the only way in which our organization will let you down this holiday season.

Sincerely,
Santa

P.S. Just because you are going to receive your gift early doesn't mean you can stop being nice this year. My files are finalized at noon on the 24th and if I discover that you have slipped into the naughty category (and that activity you have planned for the 8th may put you in jeopardy) it will be applied towards the coal/gift decision process for next year.

Secret Santa wrote:
Subject: Those damned Elves

Dear Christopher,
I am sorry about the e-mail today notifying you of iminent delivery of a package from my organization. The invoice has just been discovered by someone in the Egg Nog division. I would like to think that it's being found there is merely an accident, but we have already had a number of early nog spiking around here. I must admit that the elves are supposed to limit alcohol intake from November 1st through the big day but that is a rule that is completely unenforcable. Sober elves just don't work very hard.
So anyway, this afternoon the invoice has been found and it has been discovered that your package has already been delivered! I hope that you and Mr. Ross Christopher can forgive our organizational issues this year.

Sincerely,
Santa Claus

P.S. Even though I have already delivered to your house, a few cookies - you know the ones I like - and perhaps a little single malt Scotch would be appreciated. Your house has always been a conveinent place to stop and have a little nosh.

Thanks again Secret Santa!

Hahaha I'm almost a year late to thank you.
Shame on me.

Seeing that I was skewing statistics by not replying to this thread, I am now taking the time to thank my 2007 Secret Santa for this title that I've played with great fun and tell him that it made my top favorite games. Great pick!

Can't wait to participate again this year
