I've played it once, and enjoyed it, but I know that I will have issues with the randomness and the replayability as I play it more. I'm still interested in getting it back to the table, though, since it had a nice flavor.

Yeesh. I know a lot of people are nuts for this game, since it has no luck and the nifty rondel, but it doesn't do a thing for me. It may have to do with my lack of interest in most area-control games.

I find the game enjoyable and the slight changes and theme addition have made Zooloretto a better game, in my estimation. This is not to say that Coloretto is a bad game, but there is more depth and range of play in Zooloretto than in Coloretto.

I'm with you. Coloretto is very fast, fun, surprisingly deep, and has an elegant simplicity. Zooloretto isn't a bad game, but I'm looking for something different from a $40, nearly-an-hour game than I am from a $10, 15-minute game.

I would agree, and specifically, I think the inclusion of useful options for non-scoring animals in Zooloretto dampen down the "screw your neighbor" aspect of Coloretto strategy, which I felt was a bit too strong.

As a full game, Zooloretto is good, but not great. It's also a lot more forgiving, which reduces the tension quite a bit.
