This is not even a list about average games.

This is a protest list!
This is Gameinism - the liberation of games, games for the sake of games, games that simply exist as free thoughts for all of us to enjoy.

Join the Gameinist movement!

Whist and other trick taking derivatives are key to the gameinist revolution.

Euchre - generally best as a four player game. This is popular with collage kids, family gatherings and seniours who don't play bridge.

Gameinist "Family" card games - Old Maid, Fish, Crazy 8s - all you need is a deck of cards. Preferably stain resistant plasticised cards

Gameinists may want to find another name for "Old Maid" if they happen to be playing with Feminist gamers.

I can't find an entry for the gameinist game SOS that matches the game I played as a kid on delimited graph paper.

Basically, on your turn you can write an S or an O in a box on the grid. You get one point for every SOS you complete, horizontal, verticle or diagonal.

Again, I can't find an entry for cheat, but I can best explain it as something like Liar's dice with cards instead of dice.

Much like Fighting in Hockey, the Gameinist movement doesn't condone cheating unless it is part of the rules.

While not willing to stop playing my commercially made games, I'm willing to contribute here.

Mancala and Oware can be played by scooping out hollows in dirt or sand and using seeds or pebbles. Probably how it was played for millennia before boards were made ...

There are freely available pdfs from piecepack.org to make your own set...
